Behind the scenes 🎬 For the past couple of days, my team and I have been diving deep into the world of performance and motion capture technology. Specifically, we've been focusing on "tiling" the scene. You might be wondering, what exactly does "tiling" entail? Well, let me break it down. When working with a motion capture volume, there's a limit to the number of people we can load into the system at once. So, when we need to capture a scene with a crowd and can't bring in additional performers, we turn to tiling. Tiling is like solving a massive puzzle. We use the same set of performers (say, 10 individuals) to represent a larger group, sometimes numbering in the dozens or even hundreds. It's all about moving them strategically, giving them different actions, and ensuring every part of the scene is filled seamlessly. This process not only challenges us creatively but also pushes us to use our imagination to bring unseen elements to life (as you can see in the picture, it looks like a strange game of hopscotch) Working with motion capture technology is truly an incredible journey of creativity and innovation. I'm excited to show the final result once this movie comes out, another one for the books! 🐋 #MotionCapture #PerformanceTech #CreativeChallenges #ImaginationUnleashed #TechInnovation #ProductionCoordinator #BehindTheScenes #MovieMagic #FilmProduction #OnSet #filmmaking #filmandtv #Movies #MovieMaking #Sfx #Stunts #FilmIndustry #FilmSet
