Three things about Dianna Vreeland that are helpful to share: 1) She wasn’t a conventional “beauty”. Like most women reading this post she didn’t care but what she did phenomenally well was build her brand and the brand of others like Barabara Streisand on perceived flaws. She didn’t minimise them or try to disguise them, she exaggerated them. Much like Lizzo does today. 2) She utterly believed that the things that she found important and beautiful were valuable and her conviction made her a magnetic leader with far reaching influence. Not only can you do that too but in any industry that’s not traditionally considered creative - it’s even more powerful. A former RBA board member that I work with really really understands this. And she’s one of those women who always seems to have a multitude of opportunities at her fingertips and she can just pick the best one. 3) Then after taking a massive career knock - at “an age” when most would retire - SHE rose from the ashes, leveraged her network and put that together with her experience to make the Met Gala Rock. It wouldn’t be what it is today without the foundation that Vreeland laid. She wrote her final chapter on her terms. These are the insights about what really vibes phenomenal style that I shared with my group last week after our group chat lit up with Met Gala wonder and wonder-why? Relevance? If that tale is not enough enough to make you put on your big girl pants, blouse, skirts, dresses whatever you want on, is this - Once older women not only set fashions and younger women inspired to be like them when they grew up because they also set the agenda, in their industry and broader culture sphere of influence. Something more significant in life than wealth, power, or even celebrity is to be appreciated and recognized. Whenever we consider how to make someone happy, we all immediately consider purchasing a present or delivering flowers. Is there a present that could truly express how much you value the most influential ladies in your life? like your mother, sister, wife, and several other women in the vicinity. I once had a client who was often whining about how his wife didn't appreciate the things, he got her and didn't understand what they were worth. Yes, there may be a number of cases that need to be considered in order to determine why this occurred, but one crucial aspect that no lady would reject is, “Give her your acknowledgement. Take note of what she done and express your gratitude to her. She will feel valued if you make a kind gesture, say something nice, or give her a tiny present. Consider the positive aspects of the woman you are seeing rather than the things you can find fault with her for, and turn your appreciation practice into a higher gear.” To all the amazing, beautiful, and remarkable women out there, happy Women's Day.💐 You are not alone, your efforts are valued, and you are performing a fantastic job. #happywomensday #everylifematters #healingjourney

Quality Time Spending quality time together, engaging in meaningful activities, and creating memories can strengthen your bond and make her feel loved. Remember that every woman is unique. As a working woman, I connected with the Social Samosa article about the "Good Girl" stereotype. It's this idea that women must always be perfect, putting others first and looking flawless. But this stereotype started way back in 1955 with something called the "Good Wife's Guide." It said women should cook, look pretty, and make their husbands happy. Even though times have changed, these old ideas still sneak into ads today. Have you noticed how most cleaning and kitchen ads only show women? It's like they're saying that's all we're good for. But we know that's not true! Women can do anything—drive cars, make big financial decisions, you name it. And social media is our chance to speak up and say, "Enough is enough!" We're not just "Good Girls"—we're strong, diverse, and capable of much more. So, next time you see an ad, ask yourself: Does it show women as real people, or just as stereotypes? Let's break free from the old ways and celebrate the awesome women we are!
