I guess I am a fourth year at Michigan State University. My name is Kaylee Read, I'm from Iowa State University and I'm studying landscape architecture and I am a design intern at Mariani Landscape about what sparked my interest in landscape design is I always grew up outdoors and my passion for the environment and my desire to make positive environmental change I went to school for. Architecture. But I found out about Iowa State Landscape Architecture program and learned all about landscape architecture and fell in love with it. I have already been here for three weeks now and I've learned so much already and learning from these. Talented individuals, I think they are amazing. Getting to experience their knowledge is really cool. So far my experience here has been really great. What is way different in real life versus like the projects we receive in school? Smaller scale, more of the details because I think in a larger scale you don't get to see all of that as well as design build and actually see it being built. I got there and Colleen was managing plant placement was just sitting out all the different chairs like getting all the perspectives and I think it's really important aspect to see is like these little. Municipal changes, they are also working on some drainage stuff out there and I guess that's something new for me too because I don't really get into the details. So I am really into fashion as well. It reflects my eye and design. Other hobby I enjoy is cooking. I grew up in a family of six so we're constantly cooking. I would say traveling for sure or being outdoors, hiking, being as friends.
