I love this concept of a bridge that does not looking like the typical bridge. It is the start of a biophilic design but could be taken a few steps further by adding some greenery. Every time we create a new product, we should incorporate biophilic design.
The definition of biophilic design, according to Wikipedia is:
Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions.
Impressed by Copenhagens strides in sustainable mobility and innovative urban design.
The Circle Bridge (Cirkelbroen) designed by Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson is the perfect example of how creative urban design can transform cities for the better. Instead of simply connecting two districts that were separated by a canal, this unique folding bridge has ample room for pedestrians and cyclists, space for people to sit and enjoy the view, and a playful design, which makes the bridge itself a city attraction. Yet another reason why Copenhagen is one of the most livable cities in the world.

The Sky Mile Tower is an ambitious architectural endeavor envisioned as a towering marvel reaching a staggering height of 1,700 meters (5,577 feet), poised to redefine Tokyo's skyline and urban landscape.
Designed as the centerpiece of the Next Tokyo 2045 initiative, this skyscraper is the brainchild of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Leslie E. Robertson Associates. Situated on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay, the tower is intended to accommodate a population of approximately 55,000 residents, embodying a vision of sustainable urban living on a monumental scale.
While the project's webpage has been removed from KPF's website as of April 22, 2023, its presence on Leslie E. Robertson Associates' site indicates ongoing interest and potential. With its futuristic design and potential to transform Tokyo's waterfront, the Sky Mile Tower represents an audacious fusion of architectural innovation and urban planning, poised to captivate imaginations and shape the city's future skyline.

Copenhill: Creative and Eco-Friendly Business Architecture:
Copenhill is a trailblazing illustration of how to combine sustainability and business design
1. Waste-to-Energy Plant Integration: Copenhill cleverly combines outdoor recreation areas including a climbing wall, hiking trail, and ski slope with a waste-to-energy plant, exemplifying the merging of leisure and environmental responsibility.
2. Sustainable Practices: By converting garbage into electricity and offering community recreational areas, the project exemplifies sustainable practices and illustrates a comprehensive strategy for environmental stewardship.
3. Green Roof Design: Designed in partnership with SLA Architects, Copenhill's green roof showcases an inventive approach to urban vegetation by promoting biodiversity, filtering air, and reducing heat.
4. Urban leisure center: Copenhill redefines the idea of industrial spaces by converting a conventional power plant into an urban leisure centre. This project shows how such sites may fulfil a variety of functions while still being environmentally responsible.
Copenhill is a great example for companies that want to incorporate community involvement, environmental sustainability, and creativity into their projects.

It has been a real pleasure to meet Sara Kolata from Disrupt MAG to share the story of Gehl - Making Cities for People and my personal learnings leading Gehl through now more than a couple of decades of change.
I am humble and honoured by the interest in the ground breaking and thought leading work of the Gehl practise and our amazing team.
Considering the major shifts needed in urban practises globally we have always known we need to collaborate for impact and results. We need more urban nature not less - We need inclusive design and engagement practises and less silos - We need more urban transformation and less expansion - We need sustainable mobility networks and less separation of systems - We need better health and less loneliness.
At Gehl, we engage as facilitators of positive change of these shifts. Real change happens when access and experiences are shared between policy makers, politicians, leaders of companies, institutions and citizens.

Earlier this month, Disrupt MAG sat down with Gehl CEO Helle Søholt to talk business, leadership and legacy.
💭 "Their success metrics, Helle explains, are not tied to leaving a signature "Gehl City" but rather to ensuring that residents experience an improved quality of life... [this] underscores the importance of empowering communities and organisations to implement change independently, leaving behind competencies rather than dependency" 🌟

🫀In the heart of Amsterdam, a remarkable transformation is unfolding—one where art, culture, and sustainability converge to redefine urban living.
🍃 The "Green Mile" initiative is a project on the street Stadhouderskade that involves six prominent Dutch organisations, including the Rijksmuseum, HEINEKEN Hanoi Brewery Company Limited, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, De Nederlandsche Bank, UNStudio, and Blendingbricks.
🌳 This initiative brings together students from diverse disciplines, including art, engineering, and environmental science, using the power of creativity to reimagine its urban landscape.
🎨 The Stadhouderskade project highlights Amsterdam's commitment to redefining urban spaces, blending nature and community. Through integrating art into urban planning, the city wants to foster ownership among residents, deepening the connection with their surroundings.
🤝 The Green Mile project is part of CrAft - Creating Actionable Futures, an international project using art in public spaces as a catalyst for dialogue about sustainability. Amsterdam is one of three leading cities in CrAfT, which sees over 70 cities collaborate.
