We encourage you to invest time and effort to find and connect with founders who recently raised money in your space. One of our bootcamp participants: "Had a great meeting with one founder today. This guy closed the round last year at more than a million. He promised to do intros to investors. In short, one meeting with the right founder brings 10 good intros. For sure, this is much more effective than bombing cold letters by email"

Thinking about raising funds? Test the waters first to avoid months of wasted effort. Nothing’s worse than spending months fundraising, only to realize it’s not feasible and delaying your timeline by six months or more. That’s why I always tell founders: put out feelers early by having casual conversations with trusted investors, advisors, and peers. Share your plans, gauge interest, and get feedback on your readiness. While you won’t have 100% certainty, you’ll get a clear go/no-go signal that will save you time and energy. Take the time to assess your chances before officially launching your raise. It can make all the difference in moving forward with confidence.
