🌟✨ I'm filled with a deep sense of gratitude and admiration for the incredible team I had the privilege to work with on the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) Insights Standards & Guidance. A special shoutout to April Adams and Tony Page - your exemplary leadership and commitment have been the guiding stars of this project. 🌠 Our mission in Medical Affairs is multifaceted – we're the bridge that connects scientific knowledge with the vast and ever-evolving healthcare landscape. We strive not only to communicate our findings effectively but also to listen, learn, and adapt to the ever-changing needs of patients and healthcare providers. Our goal? To ensure the real-world effectiveness of treatments, devices, and diagnostics and to forge strategic partnerships that pave the way for innovative healthcare solutions. 🏥🤝 Our journey doesn't stop here. We operate in a constantly evolving world, and our responsibility is to be active listeners - paying attention to everything beyond the confines of our organization. It's about comprehending the impact of our strategies and having the flexibility to create new ones. This is where the core of Insights Management takes center stage. A recent MAPS poll highlighted a universal challenge: while most Medical Affairs departments recognize the impact of insights, many struggle to manage this process effectively. 🔄 The question then becomes: Are we as efficient as we could be? Are our strategies making the impact we hope for? It's a complex puzzle but not an impossible one. 🧩 Our subcommittee under the MAPS Insights Focus Area Working Group has developed a Standards & Guidance document to tackle these challenges. It's a blueprint designed to streamline and amplify the insights management process. You can explore it here: https://lnkd.in/gxdvqE9N I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my fellow subcommittee members – April Adams, Tony Page, @Melissa Santiago, Andrea Heaberlin, Dr. Canna Ghia, M.D., Brant Jarrett, and Sanaz Cardoza, PharmD. Your dedication, insights, and collaborative spirit have been nothing short of inspiring. 🙏 #medicalaffairs #medaffairs #medinsights 🩺💡 Let's continue to innovate, collaborate, and elevate the Medical Affairs!

Medical Affairs communicates company science to the broader healthcare landscape. AND generates evidence to support the real-world use of treatments, devices and diagnostics. AND establishes strategic external partnerships. AND...listens the world beyond company walls to gauge the effectiveness of existing strategies while guiding possible new directions. This is Insights Management. MAPS polling shows that most Medical Affairs departments are aware of the potential impact of insights and have implemented some sort of process for gathering, analyzing and communicating insights -- but most don't feel as if they're doing it right. Or even doing it well. Are you hitting inefficiencies? Dealing with the perception of ineffectiveness? Struggling to put in place an insights management process that is both manageable and impactful? This Standards & Guidance document by a subcommittee of the MAPS Insights Focus Area Working Group identifies best practices and recommends guidelines for an effective insights management process: https://lnkd.in/gxdvqE9N Thank you to the following subcommittee members!
