Dr. Jones, or Indiana as his friends referred to him, was correct: we are going to die. It is an universal and natural part of life, so the earlier and deeper we can engage and accept Death, the better prepared we’ll be when that moment arrives. How are you exploring a relationship with death in your own life? Do you have any daily rituals or practices that help you accept your own mortality? What does death mean to you? What are your afterlife beliefs? Do you get curious about any death anxiety you might experience? Do you work with your dreams or visions that are death related, including end of life dreams and visions? How do you navigate grief and loss? What are your end of life plans or wishes? As a Thanatologist, these are some of the areas that we co-create and co-curate for people who are proactively exploring a deeper relationship with death and grief in their lives.

I want to take this time to wish everyone heartfelt blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving weekend. May the memory of this weekend fill you with comfort and smiles for years to come. This weekend I will be reflecting on the many shared memories of my beloved sister, Sylvia DeLauretis, who loved to celebrate! 🏆🐶 YOUR FINLEY UPDATE + A SPECIAL CHALLENGE 🐶🏆 You wouldn’t believe it unless you saw it with your own eyes (and even then we’re struggling!) but Finley’s largest wound is almost completely healed over! Amazingly, there’s also minimal scarring and hair is growing back over it too. It’s looking very likely that you’d never know he had such a big wound. His shoulder wound is also fully healed and only scars remain on his nose. The latter have prompted a few questions when he’s out on his walk, but we like to think it’s his way of making sure no one forgets the hard work that went into saving him and his courageous spirit that helped him pull through. Which brings us to our challenge for you all. We want you to share Finley’s story and not just on social media. Finley is one of the 1,000+ animals we have rescued this financial year and, unfortunately, even in just the two months since saving him we’ve encountered plenty more upsetting tales of neglect, abandonment and downright abuse. We want to give them all the kind of story Finley is now enjoying. But we need your help.
