Among all the companies that I have worked at, the ones with impeccable cultural ethos are still going strong. It's just not enough defining Vision, Mission or Values. It is also about ensuring that they are being practised right from the top till the bottom. As a leader, it might mean sacrificing short term advantages (read deals or closing your eyes against some serious transgressions) towards laying the cultural foundations of what you want to build.
