Good news for the fashion system. As reported by Pambianconews, yesterday, an agreement was signed in Confindustria (the Confederation of Italian Industry) according to which Confidustria Moda and Sistema Moda Italia will work together again and exploit synergies. At this historic moment when the fashion industry is going through not only a crisis but a structural change in consumption, accompanied by the impact of sustainability, having a joint instrustrial plan to support, foster and grow Italian fashion companies becomes crucial. As pointed out by both associations, the production system represented by the two federations generates a turnover of almost EUR 100 billion, employing more than 500 thousand men and women workers and including more than 50 thousand companies. Moreover, Italy is the leading exporter of textiles, fashion, and accessories in Europe (and the second in the world after China), with a trade balance of over 26 billion euros in 2023. Let's allow the fashion system to shine again and represent the beautiful and well-made, which has considerable growth potential: if Italy were to improve its production capacity, this could translate into an increase in exports of the beautiful and well-made equal to 53.9 billion euros over the next five years
