In this interview, Gianluca Mazza, CEO of MARINA DI LOANO S.P.A. sheds light on the significance of this marina for our association. The interview took place during the latest edition of the Captain's Day, a special event given the fact that our association was founded here 10 years ago. However, Gianluca Mazza primarily focuses on the sustainability initiatives of Marina di Loano. The marina has recently completed the construction of a photovoltaic plant capable of producing 334000 kW/h. This project aligns with a progressive plan to reduce environmental impact, aiming to achieve the ambitious goal of "zero emissions" by 2050.
This noteworthy endeavor is part of a broader facilities plan that is already geared towards sustainability. Initiatives such as the e-bike park and charging stations for electric vehicles are already in place. In the near future, these efforts will be complemented by charging stations for electric boats. Marina di Loano, recently appointed as an IYM Gold sponsor, aligns with the association's overarching plan, which aims to cultivate more virtuous collaborations between yachting operators and IYM captains.
