🌊 Protecting Wild Fish, Protecting Our Future 🌊 At WildFish, we’re dedicated to safeguarding wild fish and the waters they call home. These incredible creatures are vital to the health of our rivers, lakes, and streams—yet decades of exploitation and neglect have pushed them to the brink. 📉 Did you know? ⚠️ 90% of our wetlands have disappeared in the past century. ⚠️ 13% of freshwater species are at risk of extinction. This is more than just a loss of biodiversity—it’s a warning sign for the health of our planet. We’re not standing by. We hold governments and regulators accountable, ensuring that environmental laws are enforced to protect our rivers and restore these precious habitats. Together, we can create a future where wild fish not only survive but thrive. 💪 Join us in standing up for wild fish. They need us now more than ever. Florida's waterways are a precious natural resource that sustain our communities, ecosystems, and economy. However, pollution and environmental degradation threaten the health of our rivers, lakes, and coastlines. By joining forces, we can take action to safeguard our right to clean water. The Florida Right to Clean Water Initiative is a citizen-led movement to enshrine the right to clean and healthy waters in the state constitution. By amending Florida's governing document, we can establish legal protections for our water bodies and hold polluters accountable. Get Involved Today! * Sign the Petition: Add your name to the growing list of Floridians demanding clean water protections. * Volunteer: Join our dedicated team of volunteers spreading awareness and gathering signatures. * Donate: Your financial contribution will fuel this grassroots effort to get the initiative on the ballot. * Spread the Word: Share this crucial cause with your friends, family, and community. Clean water impacts us all. Together, we can be the voice for Florida's rivers, springs, beaches, and bays. 🌊 Secure a future with swimmable, drinkable, and fishable waters for generations to come. Today is World Environment Day, a day created by the United Nations to encourage awareness and action for the protection of the environment. By supporting Feeding San Diego, you are helping to keep perfectly good edible surplus food out of landfills, where it creates methane gas, a climate super pollutant 84 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Watch this video to learn more about the importance of feeding people, not landfills. #nonprofit #hungerrelief #foodrescue #feedingamerica #worldenvironmentday #climatechange

When we talk about landscape restoration and climate resilience, smallholder farmers are often overlooked as a driving force - but they’re essential to Africa’s agricultural and environmental future. Take Francoise Dusabimana, a single mother from Rwanda who transformed her quarter-acre plot by stabilising the soil with trees, doubling her harvest and protecting her crops from landslides. Francoise’s success is a powerful example of how local, farmer-led solutions can have far-reaching impact. Across Africa, smallholder farmers manage around 80% of farms and produce up to 90% of the food in some countries. Yet, they’re often unsupported in sustainable practices due to lack of funding. Programs like the One Acre Fund are changing this, partnering with thousands of farmer-owned micro-nurseries to provide trees that not only protect land but boost yields. #SustainableAgriculture #Climate #LandscapeRestoration #Smallholders #Africa

🌍 This #WildlifeConservationDay, support frontline forest communities to defend and preserve rainforest biodiversity. By donating NOW, you can DOUBLE your positive impact upon the planet! 🌱 Indigenous and local communities have lived in and sustainably managed the vast, biodiverse tropical forests of the Congo Basin for centuries. 💔 However, the rise of false solutions to climate change threatens the very people who keep this precious ecosystem alive. Carbon offsetting projects claim to be addressing the climate crisis – but in reality, they allow the world’s biggest polluters to continue wrecking the planet and often displace the frontline communities who know best how to protect their forests. 🌟 You can help us to stand up to these exploitative projects. During the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, all donations made to Rainforest Foundation UK will be instantly DOUBLED at no extra cost. 🌳 This means that your donation of £5 will be DOUBLED to £10, allowing you to DOUBLE your support of our work challenging harmful carbon offsets and empowering Indigenous and local communities to defend and sustainably manage their forest homes. 💪 Together, we can uplift frontline forest guardians and ensure that the climate-critical forests of the Congo Basin are kept standing for the benefit of all life. 🌿 Donate DOUBLE at the link below: https://lnkd.in/g3eDdPhR #ChristmasChallenge #Biggive #climatechange #rainforest #congobasin #donatenow

We can’t tackle the climate crisis without tackling the nature crisis at the same time. Restoring our natural world and thinking carefully about how we use land and resources will also benefit our health and well-being. We can do this a number of ways, including: 👉Reforestation projects in local communities, creating more forest land to sequester carbon and provide jobs. 👉Restoring wetlands, improving water quality and reducing flood risks, while also providing habitats for wildlife. 👉Using sustainable agriculture processes like crop rotation and reduced chemical fertilizers. 👉Protecting and expanding more marine protected areas, enhancing the resilience of marine ecosystems to climate change and supporting local communities through sustainable tourism and fishing. These actions require a robust legal framework and effective enforcement. Our lawyers work towards this every day, but we need your help to do more. Join the legal fight for nature, donate now: https://lnkd.in/ejC8duB3 #NatureIsOurFuture

📢 The climate-critical forests of the Congo Basin are at risk from fossil fuel expansion. Help us preserve these precious forests - donate NOW at the link below to have your donation DOUBLED! 📢 🌳 The Congo Basin is the ‘lungs of Africa’ – absorbing and storing billions of tons of carbon. These lush forests are also home to hundreds of species of plants and animals as well as thousands of Indigenous and local communities who have protected the forest for centuries. ‼️ However, if new oil and gas projects go ahead, the ability of the Congo Basin to continue absorbing carbon would be jeopardised and countless species and communities would lose their forest homes. 🌍 You can make a HUGE difference for our planet. Until Tuesday at midday, every donation you make to Rainforest Foundation UK’s Big Give page will be DOUBLED! This could significantly boost our hard-hitting campaigns against new fossil fuel extraction in the DRC. ✨ Help us to keep oil and gas in the ground. Donate NOW to DOUBLE the impact of your donation at the link below! https://lnkd.in/e3i-M6ki #rainforest #christmaschallenge #biggive #conservation #biodiversity #sustainability
