Making #greenhydrogen a viable solution for ports – that is the objective of the #HYDEA Project. Launched in November 2023, this project will enable pilot tests to be carried out on the use of hydrogen and methanol as alternative energy sources in the ship and vehicle fleets of Atlantic Arc ports. 🎯 Main target of #HYDEA project : · Promote a clear role for #hydrogen in ports' strategic energy plans. · Improve knowledge of the various #hydrogen production technologies that are viable for use in ports. · Implement #technology demonstrators to attract investor interest with viable business models. 🤝 This is a strong international cooperation that we are more than happy to take part as member of the task force. This European project under the leadership of #EnergyLab, counts 11 partners coming from Portugal, Spain, France and Ireland are working closely together. With a strong knowledge in the marine sector and a real desire to decarbonize territories since the very beginnings, EODev happens to be a key partner of this 3 years (2023-2026) ambitious project. #marineindustry #sutainability #TimeToShift #cleanmobility #energytransition France Énergies Marines Universidade do Porto APDL Port of Vigo BrestPort HIVE Hydrogen ÉVOLUTION SYNERGÉTIQUE University of Galway https://lnkd.in/eksXv7GS

🌟 3 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐂𝐒 🌟 The CO₂nnecting Europe Conference 2025 is tackling the critical challenges for the CCS market to grow and thrive. Here’s what we’re asking: 1️⃣ How can we scale carbon markets? What will it take for the price of carbon to drive real change? 2️⃣ What does it take to create a commercial market for CO₂? From infrastructure to industries, how do we make it viable? 3️⃣ How can we make CCS investable? What role can public-private partnerships play in building confidence and addressing cross-chain risks? These are just a few of the pressing issues we’ll dive into on January 16, 2025, in Copenhagen. 📢 Don’t miss this opportunity to help shape the future of CCS markets and drive Europe’s green transition.

We intend to “Decarbonize the Caribbean,” as part of our “Caribbean Hydrogen Valley Initiative.” There will be a mix of technology solutions for de-carbonization, and hydrogen will play an important part. BIG Ideas can come from small places. And in a world of globalization, no island is an island.

Pleased to announce our report, supported by Breakthrough Energy and the Energy Transitions Commission, was launched on Tuesday at EU Raw Materials Week! We had a great launch event, with Lord Adair Turner delivering the keynote, and representatives from several innovators and investors, including Tokai COBEX, I•ROX, Vulcan Energy, CarbonScape, Quadrature Climate Foundation, European Investment Bank (EIB), and TechMet-Mercuria SA The report reveals how innovation can sustainably transform the production of critical raw materials (CRMs) like lithium, graphite, and copper - essential for climate goals and strategic autonomy. We highlight 7 breakthrough technologies to sustainably onshore CRM supply, with Primary Sulfide Leaching, Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) and Novel low-carbon graphite routes standing out. Thank you Ocean Hyway Cluster and Maria Brandsøy for arranging a really interesting conference this week in Florø creating a quite unique meeting place for us that are overly interested in green H2 and NH3. Great to hear the view points of industry leaders such as Jens Berge Ronny Haufe Martin Kjall-Ohlsson Liv-Elisif Queseth Kalland Key takeaways: Hydrogen Import Projects Advancing: Green hydrogen production is hindered by high electricity costs and regulatory challenges. End users will be looking for grey or blue to import Regional Disparities in Production: The Nordics should be leading in hydrogen production, benefiting from lower electricity prices Collaboration for Innovation: Technology companies are forming partnerships to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and diversify risks, which is crucial for launching innovative projects and scaling existing technologies. Year of the first FIDs: 2025 will likely be the year of the first Final Investment Decisions for several hydrogen projects in Norway. Ole Christoffer Ellingsen Thommessen
