💡 NOK 86 Million in EU Funding to Reduce Ship Noise! 🌊🚢 Great news! The EU is investing NOK 86 million in our new LOWNOISER to reduce underwater noise pollution. With 15 partners across Europe, we're going to develop new technologies that make shipping quieter and greener: 🔹 Innovative solutions – air lubrication, low-noise engine mounts, fiber-optic monitoring 🔹 Real-world testing – including on HX Hurtigruten Expeditions' Roald Amundsen 🔹 New industry standards – supporting IMO and EU noise reduction regulations Underwater noise disrupts marine life, but with collaboration, technology, and smart regulations, we can build a sustainable future for our oceans and the shipping industry. Norway's Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, welcomes the partnership: — Norway is proud to be a leading player in developing green solutions for the shipping industry. Thanks to Horizon Europe, CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, and all our partners for making this happen!
