Far too many scam sites for cards ( websites, tiktok etc,) also a great number of people that come top of a Google search, and willing to change an arm and a leg, just to ensure the form is filled out.. The citb website needs to be easier. A friend's blue smiler work runs out at the end of the month, and it was a nightmare to find out exactly what he needed to do. Old boy, never used a computer in his life, but also never missed a days work in his life.. It turns out ,( so I thinks) he needs a new Health and safety certificate.

3moAll the mixed messages you hear about the system are interesting to say the least, I've held the blue card for many many years and found myself paying £115 for a competence interview to be able to extend the said card. The new blue card arrives and it's only until June 2025 where I then believe I have to re train at a considerable higher cost, I've been in the industry for the best part of 30 years. Common sense people are saying and maybe not being taken serious enough is mentorship alongside the ticket system. So much time served experience is being lost because of the present situation but who really is listening to them anymore 🤔
