In conclusion, the VAE/RPE process not only validates competencies but also serves as a transformative journey of self-discovery, professional growth, and lifelong learning, shaping individuals into visionary leaders poised to make significant contributions to the evolving landscape of hospitality industry internationally.
The VAE Portfolio creation in my Master’s program in International Hospitality Management offers a transformative journey of professional development that need perseverance. It focuses on career progression, where I reflect on my 34-year career journey and identify the skills needed at different job stages in hospitality, food & beverage, shopping malls, sports marketing and more. Through skill mapping, I analyze and evaluate the competencies I have acquired throughout my professional experiences, detailing job scopes, duties, and required qualifications. This program emphasizes competency growth by providing a comprehensive framework for enhancing my abilities in the dynamic field of hospitality management. Moreover, it highlights job-specific adaptation, equipping me with the necessary tools to excel in diverse roles and navigate the ever-changing industry.
