Data analysts don't have to stay data analysts. Analysts can pivot to all sorts of other great roles. Here are just a few: 1. Data Engineer 2. Data Scientist 3. Data Advocate 4. Data Architect 5. Data Strategist For many, becoming a data analyst is a "stepping stone" role on the way to another. These roles often pay more too. You don't have to stay as an analyst... ...if you don't want to. Companies are still confused while writing the job description of Data Analyst Roles. There are two types of roles , I mostly encountered. I fall in the type A Type A: Data Analyst ( Combo of Data Analyst skills + Business Analyst skills) Type B: Data Analyst ( Combo of Data Analyst skills + Data Engineering skills) Some companies want type C as well ( Combo of Data Engineer + Data Analyst + Business Analyst) Me: I wish I have all the super powers

What’s the difference between all the roles in data? Working in data doesn’t mean we all do the same thing… The reality is, there are multiple different roles in the field - each with their own responsibilities and skills needed. 5 of the most common data careers are: → Data analyst → Business analyst → Data scientist → Data engineer → Database administrator Here’s a brief overview of each.
