We all want to be productive, to fill our days with purpose, and get as much done as possible. But here’s the thing: if we’re not creating margin in our lives, we’re actually reducing our capacity for effectiveness. When every minute is filled, back-to-back, with no breathing room, there’s no space to focus, think, or strategize. We can get caught up in the busyness, thinking more is better, but in reality, we’re running on empty. We need to: Create margin in our schedules so we can pause, reflect, and regroup. Build in space for creative thinking, strategic planning, and just breathing. Remember, productivity without purpose is just busy work. Waking up early has been a game changer for me. A few years ago, I started waking up at 6 am during the early days of the pandemic. Fast forward to today, and I’m up at 5 am. That quiet window from 5 am to 8 am has become my sacred time — the only hours of the day that truly belong to me. No back-to-back meetings. No pressure to reply to a flood of emails or messages. No feeling like I’m a slave to my calendar. So, what do I do with this precious time? Get ahead on my to-do list? Dive into the latest productivity hacks? Honestly… no. This is my time to *decompress*, *de-stress*, and simply *be*. Whether I’m working out, going for a run, playing with my dog, or just staring off into space — it’s about giving my mind and body the break they truly need.
