We love seeing what our interns are up to! Pictured is Nadeen Jeji, M3 summer intern, working on a submittal log for a project at UC Davis Health 🙌 Her task was to input and organize the specifications in a submittal log so that it would be easier to keep the project manager and foreman on track when the project started. #InternWithM3 #M3Interns

LaunchGVL is a partnership of Greenville Chamber and Greenville County Schools. This work-based learning (WBL) internship program provides internship experiences for high school juniors and seniors. Hollingsworth works to increase opportunities for paid WBL experiences as a way to increase the percentage of students graduating from high school who are prepared for college or career. The goal of WBL opportunities is to cultivate the development of a skilled workforce and a responsive workforce system that meets the needs of business and industry leading to sustainable growth, economic prosperity, and global competitiveness. Students who participate in WBL experiences are more likely to gain postsecondary credentials and labor market rewards in high-demand fields than students who do not participate. LaunchGVL’s student application deadline is coming up January 19. Every day’s a school day- even in the holidays! I am excited to have the opportunity to apply and develop the knowledge I have gained during my first year Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd through a summer internship at S&P Global. This will be a valuable insight into the field of economics allowing me to grow skills in data analysis and critical thinking while working as a part of a team.

Research shows that first-generation students are less likely to have internships or complete them in person compared to their continuing-generation peers. Similarly, female students are also less likely to secure paid internships than their male peers. To increase availability of internships for minoritized groups, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln’s undergraduate division created a microinternship and mentoring program for low-income, first-generation, or underrepresented minority students. https://ow.ly/50JZ50Qvtok

🚀 Exciting News Alert! 🚀 Thrilled to share the fantastic collaboration between my former stomping ground, Accenture UK & Ireland, and my new professional home, Dublin City University! 🤝 As I embark on this new chapter with DCU's Micro-Credentials team, it's heartening to witness the strategic leap forward in our longstanding partnership. The recent Memorandum of Understanding signifies a commitment to deepening collaboration through various initiatives, including joint research, STEM Teacher Internships, WomenOnWalls and more. 🌐 Having spent an incredible 5 years at Accenture Ireland, I've had the privilege of honing my skills and learning from the best in the industry. The shared dedication to university-industry partnership is something I've personally experienced at Accenture, and I am eager to see this commitment flourish in the groundbreaking programs outlined in the MOU. One of the highlights for me is DCU's innovative approach to Micro-Credentials. In the dynamic landscape of today, these short, industry-engaged, accredited qualifications are a game-changer. They offer a fast and flexible way for anyone to acquire specific knowledge, skills, and competences that respond to societal, personal, cultural, or labor market needs. DCU has meticulously defined eight characteristics that distinguish their Micro-Credentials, ensuring they meet the highest standards. From proposal and descriptor reviews to school and faculty approvals, the process is anchored in quality assurance. As someone deeply involved in this initiative, I am excited about the positive impact it can have on individuals seeking to upskill in a rapidly evolving world. To my former Accenture colleagues, this collaboration opens doors to an exciting array of learning opportunities. Micro-credentials can be a perfect fit for professionals looking to enhance their skill sets or explore new areas of expertise. Feel free to reach out to me for more information about how these offerings can benefit you. Join me in celebrating the intersection of innovation and collaboration! 🎉 I'm genuinely thrilled about this new journey, and I'm here as a resource for anyone interested in the transformative power of Micro-credentials. #dcu #accenture #collaboration #microcredentials #professionaldevelopment #excitingtimes #newbeginnings
