A recent court ruling has allowed securities fraud charges to proceed against SolarWinds and its Chief Information Security Officer. This case stems from allegations of misleading investors about the company’s security practices prior to the discovery of a major cybersecurity breach, highlighting the critical need for transparent and rigorous security measures within companies... to protect not only their data but also their shareholder interests. While highly controversial, the decision nevertheless underlines the growing legal implications of cyber incidents on corporate leadership, emphasizing the necessity for stringent cybersecurity measures and transparent, prompt reporting practices to protect shareholder interests and company integrity. #CybersecurityLaw #CorporateAccountability #SolarWinds
Federal judge greenlights securities fraud charges against SolarWinds and its CISO. CISOs have little reason to celebrate. Source: https://lnkd.in/gBmnDHy5?
