British buyers of property in France could soon be eligible to stay for up to six months. Great news for all your ski buyers. This is a welcome shift in post-brexit regulation which meant British citizens became subject to the rules that apply to other non-EU countries, losing the freedoms enjoyed by EU and EEA member states. Previous legislation meant that like all other non-eu states, British second home owners could only stay in their second property for up to 90 days unless they applied for an extended visitor visa. The new legislation allows British second homeowners to stay in France for up to six months without requiring a visa. This article explores the positive impacts and potential challenges this easing of regulation will bring. Over all it’s fantastic news for anyone seeking to make their dreams of a second property in France come true this year. https://lnkd.in/dNX2Crmv Snowonly Kathryn Anna Marshall

Currently, under the law, UK residents can only stay in their Spanish #holidayhomes for 90 out of every 180 days, necessitating a long-stay visa application for extended stays. Hector Gomez, Minister of Tourism, acknowledges the negative impact and aims for an exception with the EU. 🇬🇧 UK remains #Spain's biggest tourist market and discussions highlight the importance of British tourists. Two million UK residents traveled to Spain last year, constituting 23.8% of total visitors. ✅ Positive progress follows France's Senate granting British second homeowners an automatic right to a long-stay visa. CEO at Kyero, Gemma Coles, sees these developments as a positive step toward addressing challenges faced by British second home owners since Brexit. A judgement with very far reaching impact on travel and tourism industry. It was well established and also well explained term and condition that travel agent is mere facilitator of visa. after this judgement the agent has to ensure that timely application is made for visa etc and that there are no last minute plans. This will actually bring in a lot of discipline in outboud leisure industry. there will be operators still ready to take the risk, but with this precedence it will not be possible easily wash hands off. Hope the industry ensures that outbound travel plans are now done well in advance like west l.

Can Americans travel to Cuba in 2024? Yes, travelers with US passports can travel to Cuba. It’s perfectly legal for US individuals to visit Cuba for one of twelve specific purposes defined by the United States Treasury Department. All you need to do is tick one motive from an online list that pops up when you purchase your air ticket, of which “support of the Cuban people” is the most appropriate catch-all. (Others like “family visits” and “religious activities” technically have limited application.) 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/eS8MTKFC

https://lnkd.in/esFj-afu MPs spending big sums on travel paid for by foreign groups MPs racked up $840,000 in 2023 on travel bills paid for by lobby groups and foreign countries, nearly four times what was spent five years ago. Conservative MPs have been the biggest users of the system taking 97 separate trips, followed by Liberal MPs at 65 trips, NDP MPs who took 23 and Bloc Québécois MPs who went on 16 sponsored excursions. Conservative MP Garnett Genuis took the most trips of any MP with 10 over the five year period, with trips to Brussels, France, Washington D.C. Rome, India, Colombia, Switzerland, Prague, Taiwan, Tokyo and Kenya. Collectively, those trips cost just over $41,000, paid for by a variety of different groups.

Who knew about #checkyourpassportday? Anyway it's very important as so many are getting caught out. Thanks Lee Taylor for pointing it out. Did you also know that about 400,000 #passports get lost every year in the UK. It goes without saying that such an occurence is an emergency for those who lose it - and very often these are younger people and students who need it for their ID etc. It is also a costly experience - not just in monetary terms but in time and administration. We provide a #coding system on labels which means if someone picks up your passport they can contact 3 people by text to say they've found it. And you can be reunited. Emergency over. With the holiday season coming up, why not code your passports? By using a code you keep your personal details private. And you can label all your other items with teh same code - phones, keys, luggage. Lastly just add the code to wristbands and pop them on a childs wrist. If they wander off, they can use the code to get reunited. Another emergency solved. They work 24/7 in over 130 languages. 🌍 🌐 We sell #D2C and are also looking for retail partnerships with the likes of Post Office Ltd where people can pick up a pack when buying their stamps - or indeed their holiday insurance or cash :) Boots UK Superdrug Sainsbury's WHSmith

Yes, travelers with US passports can travel to Cuba. Considine says that it’s perfectly legal for US individuals to visit Cuba for one of twelve specific purposes defined by the United States Treasury Department, and to travel on one of the many daily commercial flights to Havana, which mostly depart from Miami. All you need to do is tick one motive from an online list that pops up when you purchase your air ticket, of which “support of the Cuban people” is the most appropriate catch-all.
