It occurs when gold-bearing Carlin fluid dissolves calcium carbonate from limestone host rocks and deposits silica pervasively. In addition to silica, the process also deposits gold and other pathfinder elements. Taiton Resources Limited has applied for two Exploration Licence in New South Wales to acquire the #Kingsgate #Molybdenum Mine. This project will allow Taiton to move towards a production pathway. Taiton started this journey to discover Molybdenum in 2022 and with the inclusion of Molybdenum as a critical mineral now, Kingsgate has been a timely addition to the company's value adding process for shareholders. The #KingsgateMolybdenum project is located 20km east of #GlenInnes (pop. 6,155) in an area known as the #KingsgateMiningDistrict. Glen Innes is approximately 600km north of Sydney situated on a major highway between Sydney and Brisbane. Regular commercial flights service the city of Armidale which is 98km south of Glen Innes. The Kingsgate mining centre mine was the second largest producer of Molybdenum in Australia between the early 1880s and late 1920s. A total of 350t Molybdenum (Mo) and 200t #Bismuth (Bi) was mined. Much of the ore was mined from a cluster of high-grade Mo-Bi bearing quartz pipes Between 2005 and 2009, #AuzexResourcesLimited was active at the Kingsgate Mining region, the company had advanced the project with drilling (Over 15,000m) and completed metallurgical studies, a scoping study [and Feasibility Study. Trial mining with 11,700 bcm of material mined and high-grade Mo and Bi ore were stockpiled. Zimbabwe's Great Dyke, a region renowned for being one of the world's largest chromite deposits. The prolific availability of ore allows for surface-level mining operations, unveiling precious chrome and alluvial deposits that have captured African Chrome Fields’ (ACF) attention in 2014. In a recent interview with Mining Decisions magazine, I discussed ACF's journey since its initial investment ten years ago. The project has evolved significantly, now encompassing the development of seven chromite processing plants and a groundbreaking Aluminathermic chrome smelting factory. This state-of-the-art facility employs unique proprietary technology, converting chromite ore into highly sought-after Ultra Low Carbon High Grade Ferrochrome. Our commitment is evident in the substantial investment and extensive research dedicated to refining the aluminothermic process. The goal is to establish an efficient and cost-effective production cycle capable of generating sufficient heat for the successful transformation of raw chrome ore into high-grade ultra-low carbon ferrochrome. Industrial Minerals Ltd's previous RC #drilling program informed a Maiden High Purity #Quartz Exploration Target at the Pippingarra Quarry Project, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. #IND's exploration target of 1.5-3Mt @ 97-99% SiO₂ is adjacent to the existing pit, with the initial testwork returning low impurity results from standard HPQ flowsheet >99.994% SiO₂. Further #HPQ targets have been identified from surface mapping and historical drilling across the Mining Lease. Copper Mine for SALE Catamarca province, Argentina The project consists of five sites (Nelly Expte 66/2019 (2500 hrs), Gustavo Expte:67/2019 (2422 hrs), Ethel Expte:68/2019 (2500 hrs), Abelardo:69/2019 (6,791 hrs), Ludmila Expte :70/2019 (7000 hours) which gives a total of 21,210 hectares, of which two deposits (Nelly and Ethel) have been studied and developed, in which a giant Copper Porphyry was discovered whose dimensions were compared, reaching the conclusion which is almost double that discovered in the nearby already exploited deposit "Bajo Alumbrera", which will be explained with documentation below. The porphyry discovered and named Ut, above is located in the Nely and Ethel deposits; at the end of 2022 it will be I carried out a survey and study campaign to present the Environmental Impact studies where the Abelardo and Ludmila Deposits were discovered in the Abelardo and Ludmila Deposits the presence of Lithium both in rock and on the surface, which in 2023 will continue to study the potential of said mining properties.- #copper #mine #minning

Pleased to present at Procemin-Geomet 2024 on "Demystifying Tailings Flocculation: Examining Some Assumptions and Misconceptions" with Phillip Fawell (CSIRO Mineral Resources, Australia), Heather Kaminsky (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada), and Chris Solnordal (CSIRO Mineral Resources, Australia)! Tailings flocculation is a critical step in most mining circuits, especially as the need to reduce freshwater intake increases. Despite decades of research and development improving this process, many commonly held assumptions or over-simplifications still impact its effectiveness. Our presentation addresses a few of these misconceptions, highlighting how they can adversely affect operational performance in tailings dewatering. We discuss key fundamental concepts and practical operational strategies, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to optimizing tailings dewatering.
