Post thanksgiving, let’s turn the spotlight inward for a moment. While it’s important that we express gratitude for our families, friends, colleagues, and mentors, ✨ gratitude is also a gift we can give ourselves. Take a moment this week to recognize your own worth, growth, and contributions. Here are some questions to ponder: 1️⃣ What am I thankful for about myself? 2️⃣ What’s one challenge I’ve overcome this year that I’m proud of? 3️⃣ What qualities or values do I embody that I’m truly thankful for? 4️⃣ How do I show up in the world in a way that fills me with gratitude for the person I am becoming? More importantly, “𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲?” Write it down. Say it out loud. Share it if you feel inspired. I’d love to hear your reflections!

As we celebrate Thanksgiving week, here’s my gratitude list: • Thankful for every opportunity, discussion, and collaboration. • Thankful for the meaningful conversations we’ve shared. • Thankful for this amazing community here on LinkedIn. • Thankful for lessons from those who disappointed me. • Thankful for the exciting possibilities on the horizon. • Thankful for my family, friends, and loved ones. • Thankful for teams that let me drive innovation. • Thankful for my boss and clients who trust me. • Thankful for those who consistently show up. • Thankful for those who leveled up this year. Reflecting on the past 365 days here, one word: Consistency. Consistency is how you unlock success in anything. I’m not just saying it—I’m living it. A Time of Thanks. Gratitude is necessary for success. Does it seem cliche for a post like this around Thanksgiving? We do this every year. Certainly, this isn't the only post you'll see this week about being thankful, but there is so very much to be thankful for. It's worth arguing that we don't talk about gratitude often enough. So, let's do this and make it carry forward well beyond this holiday we're about to celebrate. Gratitude, at its core, is a recognition of the efforts, sacrifices, and contributions that shape our journey. It is a force that binds the past, present, and future, transforming individual and collective experiences into a shared story of growth and impact. To express gratitude is to commit to paying it forward. By recognizing the value others bring, we foster a culture of appreciation and mutual respect. May we carry this gratitude into all our endeavors, shaping a world where every contribution is valued, and every individual feels seen. Let's continue to work, strive, and lead with gratitude at the heart of everything we do.

As we wrap up the week, I find myself feeling grateful—not just for the big wins, but for the small moments that often go unnoticed. It’s easy to focus on the challenges and what didn’t go as planned, but I’ve learned that it’s just as important to take a step back and celebrate every little success along the way. This week, I’m grateful for: 1. The chance to show up consistently, even on the hard days. 2. The supportive community around me (your engagement means so much!). 3. The lessons learned from the ups and downs, both in work and in life. Gratitude keeps me grounded and helps me appreciate how far I’ve come, no matter the hurdles. Looking back on the Thanksgiving holiday and thinking about the many things I am grateful for, I came across a quote that was too timely to not to be shared: "Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another." - John C. Maxwell. During my career, I've had the incredible privilege of working with diverse teams and witnessing the profound impact each member can have. It's not just the leaders or those in high-profile positions who make a difference; every single individual, regardless of their title, has the power to influence and shape the organization. Whether it's the admission staff at Wild Wadi Waterpark who ensured every guest had an unforgettable experience, the lifeguards at Aquaventure Waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge, City of Kissimmee, and Charlotte Mecklenburg County who prioritized safety above all, or the teams at the City of Box Elder who prioritized service and the needs of the citizens...each person's contribution is a vital thread in the tapestry of our collective success. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have impacted our teams (and me) in both small and large ways. It's the smile from a guest service representative, the innovative solution from a team member, the "warm welcome" and "fond farewell" of frontline staff, or the extra effort put in by someone to ensure a project's success. These actions, though sometimes unseen, are the difference makers! Thanksgiving does not have to be gratitude for just ONE day. Instead, we can carry this spirit of gratitude and appreciation into the coming year. Let's recognize and celebrate the influence each of us has on one another. Because in the end, it's not about titles or positions; it's about how we choose to impact the lives around us. Here's to continuing to make a positive impact...one life at a time.
