This example describes how a public health professional could use Evidence-Based Resources (EBRs) to implement a tobacco cessation program: 1. Identify the need(What is the public health problem you’re trying to solve?) 2. See how the need aligns with national goals(Improving outcomes at the local, tribal, territorial, and state level is key to achieving Healthy People 2030 objectives.) 3. Explore EBRs related to your goals(From an objective’s overview page, find related EBRs by choosing the Evidence-Based Resources tab in the left-hand navigation menu) 4. Engage with your community partners and ask for feedback(Interventions don’t work without buy-in from the community) 5. Draft your intervention plan(Based on your research and community discussions, finalize your approach and how you’ll measure success.) 7. Implement your plan(You have the research, the resources, and the buy-in — now it’s time to put your plan into action!) 8. Evaluate your plan(Make sure to track your progress — you can even benchmark your progress by using Healthy People 2030 objective data. In addition, many EBRs include information about how to effectively evaluate your program over time.) Reference: https://lnkd.in/eHHnE5pS

In this week's episode of 'provider wears government cost without compensation', AN-ACC minute audits now require providers to format and collate their data into a government approved template https://lnkd.in/geJnFvSa I'm yet to see any evidence that care minutes are a genuine answer to improving care outcomes. I can, however, see lots of evidence that outsourcing the audit process to big four consulting firms is costing the government a fortune and causing extra costs for providers If we have to focus on care minutes, maybe spending these audit fees on funding extra lifestyle and hospitality activities (or better yet, wage increases) would be a better use of public funds G5 Strategic #agedcareaustralia
