I'm thrilled to announce that I've embarked on a new journey as the Head of Tech in Sales and Onboarding for the PA Pay TV area. After a rewarding tenure of over five years in the Content Quality area, where we achieved remarkable transformations with Telia Play, I look forward to this new chapter with excitement and optimism. My tenure in Content Quality was a period of significant achievements and learning. Together, my team and I have made substantial strides, revolutionising the way our customers experience entertainment from metadata perspective. From enhancing hundreds of EPG channels and numerous VOD services to providing an unparalleled sports viewing experience, our efforts have profoundly enriched our customer offerings. I am immensely proud of my former team's dedication and hard work, which epitomised the principle of "doing the right things" rather than just "doing things right." This approach not only propelled us to achieve great heights but also underscored the importance of our collective journey in my professional development and personal growth. Facing challenges head-on, celebrating our victories, and fostering a culture of resilience, creativity, and commitment have been pivotal in crafting something truly extraordinary in the content landscape. As I transition into my new role, I'm eager to collaborate with a diverse group of talented individuals, including Product Owners, UX Designers, Cloud Specialists, Backend Developers, and Client Service Experts. I am confident that our combined expertise will enable us to achieve exceptional synergy, enhance our autonomy, and streamline our feature planning and execution processes. Innovation, teamwork, and customer delight remain my top priorities. These pillars are interconnected, with innovation stemming from a team that finds joy in their work, which in turn, is crucial for delivering happiness to our customers. Yes - happiness! Why not satisfaction? - Because satisfaction simply means that we meet our customer's basic expectations. I would like to see happy customers with creating unique or memorable TeliaPlay experience! My journey with Telia has ingrained in me the golden rules of valuing team voice, embracing growth, and nurturing an innovative spirit—keys to our collective success. As we navigate the competitive landscape of TV services across various markets, our focus should not solely be on outperforming competitors but on truly understanding and appreciating our customers. After all, in a world where options are plentiful, our commitment to our customers' happiness is what truly sets us apart. As I step into this new role, I am reminded of the power of focusing on our customers to drive innovation and success. Hello Marc Allera… The way/attitude of John in your Executive Team at EE twice now has been absolutely appalling. It is a real shame that #EE are treating Customers of nearly 30 years like this. I wonder how many other customers have been treated this way and have left EE? How come the quality of #CustomerService has fallen so much since combining with BT Group? Where has the great #CustServ that EE had gone? Out of interest, how many of my connections, followers etc had bad service too? Who can provide a good service today? Vodafone? Today we announce Virgin Media O2’s financial results for Q1 2024.   Positively, we improved mobile and consumer fixed service revenue growth, although the tough macroeconomic backdrop has impacted low-margin mobile handset revenue.   Through our sustained investments we continue to evolve our fixed and mobile networks, growing our fibre footprint at pace via the nexfibre network and our Fibre Upgrade programme, while also launching next generation 5G Standalone in 14 UK cities.   We remain on track to hit our full year 2024 guidance, and for the remainder of the year we will maintain focus on our strategy of targeted investment in future growth drivers. Today we announce Virgin Media O2’s financial results for Q2 2024.   This quarter we reached significant milestones on our target to upgrade the UK’s digital infrastructure through investment in our fixed and mobile networks: - Our combined full fibre footprint reached 5 million premises passed. - Our latest 5G is now available to two-thirds of the country. - We completed the first stage of the mobile Shared Rural Network rollout, bringing better connectivity to rural communities. We also announced a new long-term network sharing agreement with Vodafone UK, further strengthening our position in mobile if the proposed merger between Vodafone UK and Three UK is approved.   Our consumer fixed revenue improved over the quarter, supported by a return to ARPU growth, but some headwinds remain - primarily in mobile handset sales. We are focused and progressing with key investments in future growth drivers and remain on track to achieve our full year Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted FCF guidance.
