Thrilled to share a new publication I co-authored with my colleague Timothy Coy titled “Building an integrated approach to real estate sustainability”. Advancing sustainability in real estate truly means taking a sledgehammer 🔨 to functional silos 🤝and enabling new means of collaboration. As you’ll see, the business case is there, and for the organizations that mobilize quickest, there’s an opportunity to seize differentiated performance and get paid for it! We talked to a number of real estate leaders and innovators in this piece and I’m so happy to share their perspectives as well! #deloitte #realestate #sustainability #esg https://lnkd.in/gma3UAap

Very interesting article. I’m curious how you see district energy or thermal energy networks fitting into the decarbonization strategy. The impact of building HVAC and the importance of renewable energy is discussed in the article. In my view, leveraging a district energy system to improve efficiency and resiliency, while also integrating renewable energy sources is a critical path to decarbonizing the built environment.
