AI and it's impact on business. I had an opportunity this week to participate in webinar facilitated by Korn Ferry entitled Growth Secrets of the Worlds Most Admired Companies. The webinar involved the heads of innovation for Procter & Gamble and Mastercard. Although their experience is more related to B to C business, I thought their insights were so relevant, particularly as it relates to AI. The head of innovation for P&G emphasized that AI accelerated innovation in some of their product categories. Specifically, AI could help P&G sort through millions of options in molecules and sort the best options for successful product innovation. One of the other interesting points shared was that AI is blurring historic boundaries of functions and from a candidate sourcing perspective it made it critical to better define roles. A surprising takeaway for me was revealed during a survey facilitated during the webinar. 90% of participants felt that people were more important than technology to drive innovation and growth.
