Say it louder for the people at the back!! 🚨 Im finding more and more job advertisements requiring motion graphics or web design proficiency, even at entry/junior level, I get that having some knowledge and interest in these areas is advantageous but there’s a reason there are seperate university courses dedicated to them.

If you are hiring a Designer for your media stunts or if you’re transitioning to becoming a Brand Designer, here are 4 Characteristics of an effective Visual Designer: Communication Skills (50%): Clear, effective communication with clients and team members. What makes a visual storyteller effective is the ability to transform creative strategy into an output that resonates with the target audience, achieve amiable metrics, and purposefully impact the creative space. Fundamental Knowledge (20%): A deep understanding of design principles and visual aesthetics allows designers to become flexible and rather not be imprisoned to a specific style of their outputs. Creativity requires scalable outputs in an ever-evolving industry space. A great fundamental knowledge will give a designer a path to a wider perspective of every subject. Creativity and Practicality (20%): Ability to innovate while meeting practical design requirements. Is an essential skill to be able to propose a specified visual solution to a specific problem. Achieving project success may also come from surpassing financial, social, and industrial issues. Software Proficiency (10%): Competence in relevant design software for efficient workflow. The last step is to practice sharing only 10% of the whole pie. Tools and software must be utilized to craft an overall approach. However, not all great-looking and highly fabricated outputs can achieve amenable results.
