How To Start A Multi-Million Dollar B2B Company (Lean & Mean) (10-minute video from 9 years ago) As I was prospecting for a prospect this morning (let that sink in), I came across this video and was blown away. I watched it three times. Here are the lessons I took away, but please tell me what you think. Principles of an Entrepreneur Charlotte Baker your nuggets are 🔥: [Nugget 1 “ALAP Model”] When you are starting out you need to spend “AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE” on things that could be outsourced. It takes so much time, money, and experience to bring things in house. HR, Marketing, and Accounting—she outsources all of it. Makes me wonder if she would like my “Outsourced Senior Sales Professionals”??? [Nugget 2 “Freebies for Friends and Discounts for Sugar Daddies” ] Don't let your mind wonder. What it means is...you must start getting customers: Freebies for friends (does not have to be totally free) and Discounts for Sugar Daddies (customers who you know have money) need to be contacted. Getting customers immediately gets you revenue—but it also allows you to correct your services and services offerings before you attempt any scale. [Nugget 3 “People are Everything”] You need positive people to work with. You need doers. You need people who are going to work their face off when nobody is looking. [Nugget 4 “Religion of Roughly Right!”] You’re an entrepreneur and you’re never going to be perfect. It’s not your nature. Stressing all the small stuff won’t keep you moving forward. Accept that things will be roughly right at times. [Nugget 5 “Shine The Light”] What does it hurt to be kind? To shine the light on others, both inside your organization and the community at large.
