U.S. presidential race intensifies. In a dramatic turn, Joe Biden has stepped down from the presidential race, nominating Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. It's now Kamala versus Trump. On Saturday, Harris officially declared her candidacy stating I will work hard to earn every vote and in November our people powered campaign will win. She wrote on Next. She has garnered support from Barack and Michelle Obama as well. Recent polls show her is closing the gap with Trump. The Wall Street Journal reports Harris and Trump are nearly tied. 49 to 47% within a margin of error of plus -3 point 1%. This follows Trump's six point lead over Biden earlier this month. Harris is gaining traction among non white voters and within her party. Support from black voters has increased from 59% to 69%, Hispanic voters from 45 to 57% and voters on the 30 from 46 to 56%. Bloomberg's average of post Biden poll shows Harris training Trump by just 1.6 percentage points. Time will tell who wins the presidential elections and what impact would it have on the US economy.
