This 15-year old just invented a soap that could treat skin cancer 🤯 Heman Bekele 💫 🇪🇹 Born in Ethiopia, his journey began with a simple observation: Labourers working in the scorching sun, unprotected. A serious problem, often overlooked. 🇺🇸 But when he moved to America... Heman realised most people couldn't afford $40k skin cancer treatments 💰 He dreamed of making it accessible. Years of loving chemistry led him to ask: 🌍 "What's an internationally impactful idea?" 🌍 🤔 "Something everyone can use, regardless of class?" The answer? Soap 🧼 The right people caught onto his brilliant idea, and offered to sponsor him 🧪🔬 Now... His soap is showing real promise in a Baltimore lab. When asked about his invention, Heman said: “Anybody could do what I did, I just came up with an idea... and I was able to bring it to life.” The kid's a genius. But more than that, he's an inspiration. He reminds us: - Age is just a number. - Brilliance has no boundaries. - To leave the world better than we found it. Great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. This is your reminder to keep dreaming big 🧡 ♻️ Repost this if it resonated. Was mind blown by this pоst from Simmy Dhillon ( go follow him )

Doesnt matter how useful his solution is. Cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry in the hands of Phramceutical giants. They wont let his idea go public and snatch their market share. He will either be silenced or rejected by FDA type institutions. Or may be, las previously, he will be paid in billions to keep his idea to himself. Shh...! 🤫 Ever wonder why no solution/ drug or cure to any big disease is ever coming out for the past 40 or so years despite rapid advancement in medical research and technological prowess? Pharma's ever growing profits hold that secret.

I love that he was brave enough to take on such a big challenge and not be daunted by its magnitude and his age. Let's just dial back a little bit though... as far as I'm aware this is its status in oncology treatment... "Bekele’s soap is still in the testing phase and has not yet undergone clinical trials in humans. As a result, comprehensive data on its effectiveness, safety and side effects is not yet available."

Awesome (assuming this has been tested and status verified). I hope the Baltimore Lab didn't take ownership of the patent and simply pay the kid off. Creators/inventors should build sustainable and recurring wealth. A good deal would be him retaining ownership and the lab having exclusive license, no? Just thinking aloud.

Incredible innovation! Heman's story showcases the power of young minds tackling global health challenges. His soap could revolutionize skin cancer treatment accessibility. It's exciting to think how AI might further enhance such inventions, perhaps in optimizing formulations or predicting efficacy.

Breakthrough results of our greatest societal needs will come from people who see the world through diverse eyes.

What we can invision what we write and what we can create are only limited by our mind ability to grow and adapt and see the solution not the problem.

A good example to illustrate that the best inventions or business ideas originate out of a personal need or experience.

Ideas are everywhere; all it takes is observation, the willingness to recognize them, and the persistence to develop them.
