Have a thorough understanding of your target audience and the reasons behind it, such as their needs. How are you going to use dialogue and avenues of contact to meet their needs? How does your plan appear, and why? How would you help them say yes, and when will you ask for the close? Have a purpose at every turn. Tip 6: Priorities asking, then listening, then doing. The 80/20 rule, which you've probably heard of, is nevertheless useful for figuring out how to balance a conversation. Eighty percent of your information or content should speak to the demands of your prospect or customer; the remaining twenty percent should be dedicated to your business and the advantages it provides. Put differently, only 20% of the time should be spent discussing your business and the services you provide; the remaining 80% should be spent listening, posing questions, and providing answers when needed.
