The Friendliest Nation on Earth: South Africa
Pioneer & CEO at tipped | Transforming the Way We Show Appreciation | Award Winning Entrepreneur | Guest Speaker | Revolutionising the Gratuity Culture
South Africa's celebrated as the world's friendliest nation - no surprise there! The news that we were crowned the "World's Friendliest Nation" by Remitly's survey has put a gigantic smile on my face. This is such a true reflection of who we are—a nation built on warmth and Ubuntu (humanity). South Africa's magic is a beautiful mix. Yes, our landscapes are breathtaking and the wildlife incredible, but it's truly the people that make us special. We're known for our welcoming smiles, willingness to chat with anyone, and ability to bridge language barriers with our eleven official languages. Whatever the reason, this "World's Friendliest Nation" title is an honour and a responsibility. It's a reason to keep spreading our warmth, not just at home but across the globe!

SOUTH AFRICA “Turning 60 is not just a milestone; it’s a sacred pause—a moment to honor the life I’ve lived and step boldly into the possibilities ahead. I am deeply grateful for the breath in my lungs, the strength in my spirit, and the clarity this moment has brought me. I chose to celebrate in South Africa, a land that vibrates with energy, history, and soul. Here, the warmth of the sun feels healing, the rhythm of the culture stirs something deep within me, and the breathtaking landscapes remind me of life’s infinite beauty. South Africa is more than a destination—it’s a space that awakens me, grounds me, and inspires me to dream bigger. Most of my life has been lived, and while my work fuels me, it’s not the whole story. This chapter is about reconnecting with my purpose and aligning my heart and mind for what’s next—something thrilling, something transformative. Reuniting with one of the most solid women #chimchalemera I know, who boldly left Nigeria to start anew in this incredible country, was another gift. Her move speaks to courage and reinvention—two things I carry with me as I prepare for what’s to come. Here’s to South Africa, to clarity, to connection, and to the boundless journey ahead.”** #Turning60 #MilestoneMoments #SouthAfricaLove #GratitudeJourney #SoulfulReflections #CourageToEvolve #AfricanVibes #ClarityAndPurpose #WomenEmpowerment #NewBeginnings #BoldMoves #InspirationFromAfrica #LifeLessons #TravelWithPurpose #BoundlessPossibilities

Africa is similar to an undervalued asset, I believe it has the highest ceiling among all continents. Massive untapped and undervalued resources, and an expanding youthful population that will form a huge labor pool. All these factors will drive its economic growth in the near future.

Celebrating Africa Day - a day of unity, heritage, and inspiration! Imagine Africa Day as a grand festival. You walk into a vibrant marketplace (our continent), greeted by diverse cultures (our people) and rich traditions (our heritage). You showcase your unique talents (our progress), and the crowd cheers (our achievements)! But wait! You don't just pack up and leave. You engage, you learn from others (share knowledge), and you keep the energy alive (continue thriving). Now let's translate this to our daily lives. Celebrating Africa Day isn't about one grand event. It's about connecting with our roots for real. And remember, even the greatest leaders didn't start on global stages. They learned. They connected with their communities, who were thought leaders. They gradually built their legacy. So, as we celebrate this Africa Day, remember - it's not a one-day event. It's about creating a legacy that inspires future generations. ------------ What's your most inspiring story about Africa Day? Let's share and inspire each other. 🌍 #happyafricaday #AfricaDay #CelebrateAfrica #UnityInDiversity #ProudlyAfrican

Here is a new angle on South Africa's Heritage Day. The truth is, our collective heritage is rarely celebrated by all corners of our society. Many don’t want European influence; others don’t want to learn about African influence. Some don’t care, some care exclusively. The spectrum is enormous! I believe most South Africans don’t know what sort of future they want – or can describe one they agree upon – and which aspects of the past influences we want to take with us going forward. We have conflicting personalities in many ways. I have always said, focus on what unites us. A lot of this has been our nation’s sports, artists, and natural environment. On Heritage Day, I am going to ponder how business and technology can become a positive force in our future, because up until now, I don’t think they’ve reached their potential in highlighting the positive potential of ‘diversity’ (a resource South Africa has an abundance of) that can offer this nation. How do we mobilize that for us all? PS, I’ll be working on Heritage Day, because my legacy (my story) is planted now, and there is just so much work to do in South Africa! #HeritageDay2024 #SouthAfricanHeritage #UnityInDiversity #CelebrateDiversity #CulturalHeritage #SouthAfrica #FutureOfSA #ProudlySouthAfrican #CulturalUnity #DiversityAndInclusion

World Africa Day !! On this World Africa Day, we come together to celebrate the rich diversity, vibrant cultures, and immense potential of the African continent. As we reflect on the significant progress made and the ongoing challenges faced, let us recommit ourselves to fostering greater unity, equity, and prosperity across Africa. Africa is a land of boundless beauty, teeming with natural wonders, from the sweeping savannas to the lush rainforests, and the snow-capped peaks to the sun-drenched coasts. It's people are resilient, innovative, and fiercely proud of their heritage. Yet, the continent still grapples with the legacies of colonialism, uneven development, and a range of socioeconomic and environmental issues. On this day, let us celebrate the African Union's vision of "An integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena." Together, we must work to realize this vision by: Promoting Sustainable Development Investing in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and infrastructure that uplifts communities while preserving the continent's delicate ecosystems 🐆🐆🦁🦏🥰🦓
