I didn’t imagine 3 weeks before my wedding, I’d be laid off. But it happened. 21 days from saying “I do” I found myself among the 4% of Criteo employees laid off and my 4+ years of employment ended. This wasn’t on my bingo card, to say the least! Nevertheless, I’m proud of my growth during this adventure. At Criteo, I was promoted twice, went from a seller to hiring and leading a team of sellers, and explored extended learning opportunities at the company, ultimately discovering my passion for coaching. Upon reflection, I can distill my experience into three major takeaways. 1️⃣ Say YES to growth opportunities. When I was given the chance to lead a team and gain people managing experience, I jumped at it. I discovered that I was good at managing personalities and extracting people’s best. 2️⃣ Be yourself – always. You can teach skills, but you can’t teach personality. I found that showcasing my brand externally with clients led to even better results. 3️⃣ Be a financial consultant. A manager taught me this, and I use it in my sales mantra today: If you are truthful with your clients, even if it's telling them not to buy, you might lose dollars in the short run but will gain a long-term partnership. My motto is: “Leave it better than you found it,” and I feel I did that at Criteo. I’m proud to have routinely exceeded my quarterly goals, developed and closed business with Fortune 500 companies, and hired and developed a team that continually surpasses their targets. I’m seeking positions in Sales, Account Management, or Customer success in Media Sales, AdTech, or MarTech in Los Angeles. I’m open to IC, Player Coach, and Manager roles. Hi Linkedin colleagues, It has now been 7 months since my layoff from Meta and I’m still in the market for new roles. I’m going to be transparent, this is an anxious time for me as severance has basically run out and the situation has become crucial. I am looking for hybrid, remote, on-site, full time, and contract roles that match my profile in the Bay Area of California. I want to eliminate any cautions in the process these are assumptions that aren’t true: 1.) I will only work at FAANNG companies and not smaller companies: I’ve worked at companies with less than 200 employees on multiple occasions. 2.) Over Qualifications: The market is tough so myself and others are looking for roles that have different titles than what we’ve worked on before 3.) Gaps in my resume: I’ve been laid off twice so that creates time in between roles to search for another opportunity 4.) Only can manage payment related roles: My skills are transferable just ask! I have approximately 100+ referrals across multiple payment facilitators, merchants, issuers, acquirers, and processors that can speak to working with me. According to recent data, there are 52,000 active marketers in U.S.-based B2B startups, with around 450-600 new hires each month! Leadership roles in marketing (~3,350) and sales (~4,200) are on the rise, especially compared to 2019. What’s even cooler?
