not only difficult for others to recruit people , when a person earns an employee of the month or employee of the years it shows others how good and well that person does the better for that person to make a job change go easy the more difficult for that person’s present employer to retain knowing that others will raise a better deal that they cannot match

I agree Mark. There is a consistent focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty and sometimes we lose sight of the fact that the path to that is employee satisfaction and loyalty.
