Breaking the Speed Limit with WEKA: The World's Fastest File System on top of Azure Hot Blob. Abstract Azure Blob Storage is engineered to manage immense volumes of unstructured data efficiently. While utilizing Blob Storage for High-Performance Computing (HPC) tasks presents numerous benefits, including scalability and cost-effectiveness, it also introduces specific challenges. Key among these challenges are data access latency and the potential for performance decline in workloads, particularly noticeable in compute-intensive or real-time applications when accessing data stored in Blob. In this article, we will examine how WEKA’s... #techcommunity #azure #microsoft https://lnkd.in/gYtbrBwp

Automatic Image Creation using Azure VM Image Builder is now generally available, significantly improving the way you can manage and update your base images. With this feature, you can streamline your workflow by initiating image builds for new base images automatically, saving you time and effort. Right, so why is automatic image creation so crucial? In short, it's pretty essential for keeping your images up-to-date and secure, while also reducing the manual workload involved in managing individual security and image update requirements. Imagine no longer having to manually update patched image—instead, you can set "triggers" for automatic updates and let the Azure Image Builder service take care of the rest . #Azure #ImageBuilder #AutomaticImageCreation #CloudComputing #TechNews #VM #cloudops https://lnkd.in/dW_vmf6x

Who Deleted a Blob? Who Deleted a Blob?It is sometimes useful to know who created/modified/deleted a storage blob. For that information to be recorded in a log the authentication must be done with Azure AD to populate the user information correctly. There are two sets of logs that can help, Azure Monitor logs and classic Analytics logs1. Azure monitor storage columns - https://lnkd.in/gvWNmSZb Columns of interest CallerIpAddress - The IP address of the requester, including the port number OperationName - The type of REST operation that was performed RequesterObjectId - The OAuth object ID of the requester RequesterUpn - The... #techcommunity #azure #microsoft https://lnkd.in/g4rhawCd

🚀 Smart load balancing for OpenAI endpoints using containers. Smart load balancing for OpenAI endpoints Many service providers, including OpenAI, usually set limits on the number of calls that can be made. In the case of Azure OpenAI, there are token limits (TPM or tokens per minute) and limits on the number of requests per minute (RPM). When a server starts running out of resources or the service limits are exhausted, the provider may issue a 429 or TooManyRequests HTTP Status code, and also a Retry-After response header indicating how much time you should wait until you try the next request. The solution presented here is part of... #techcommunity #azure #microsoft https://lnkd.in/gjHC7q46

Attention Azure Databricks customers ⚠️ If your Azure Databricks workspace is using the Secure Cluster Connectivity (No Public IP) feature and have integrated to your own VNET (VNET injection) then your ability to talk to the internet from Databricks notebooks may stop working September 30, 2025. https://lnkd.in/gKrpZPXW The easiest solution is to create a NAT Gateway, assign a Public IP address to it, then assign the NAT Gateway to "public-subnet" (or whatever you called it). That's going to add about $40/month in Azure cost (assuming 100GB data sent) but then you will have a stable outbound public IP. #AzureDatabricks #Databricks #AzureAdministrator
