I’m working on a paper—a scoping review. It’s approaching completion, and as I reread, reread, and refine it, tweaking a sentence here and reframing an argument there, I feel like a sculptor. Chipping away at what was once a formless page, slowly, I can see the whole article structure emerging—abstract, intro, method, results, discussion—a thing of beauty. Let’s hope the reviewers agree.

Bear with me for a moment: Imagine you're building a model to classify photos, but your goal is to generalize to sketches or paintings. 🎨 You only have labeled data of photos, and the target domains are inaccessible due to cost or legal rights. You train many models with different methods, and you validate them on the source, hoping for the best. But what if the validation-to-test correlation looked like the scatterplots on the left? 😬 They are random at best, aren't they? We are happy to present our second WACV 2025 paper named: "Crafting Distribution Shifts for Validation and Training in Single Source Domain Generalization". It offers a practical alternative to this problem! With domain-agnostic augmentations, we achieve correlations of 0.74 (PACS) and 0.83 (Mini-DomainNet)—letting you make confident model choices even without target domain access. Also, we introduce a single-source-domain-generalization method, which is the new state-of-the-art on four (4) benchmarks. At 120 degrees Celsius, the air takes command, Driving the drying process, as we planned. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲, In the drum's warm embrace, they reach for the skies.   So here's to our machine, our pride and our glee, Efficient and mighty, for all to see.
