Shoutout to Marksman Officers Boadi, Parker, and Martin for their actions in assisting a woman in medical distress at a client property in Fort Worth, Texas. Officer Boadi noticed the woman sitting on the steps outside of one of the buildings and she appeared to be ill. Relying on his Marksman Security training, Officer Boadi immediately dispatched the Marksman control center, requested assistance from Officers Parker and Martin, and dialed 911. All three officers never left her side and stayed with her until she was transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical care. Their vigilance, compassion, professionalism, and immediate response were crucial, and had they not acted quickly, the situation could have had a negative outcome. Great job officers for taking excellence in service to the next level! Headed to Kansas City to spend quality time with some of the world's finest SWAT officers, SWAT medics, and barbecue at the National Tactical Officers Association's Law Enforcement Operations Conference and Trade Show. As usual, I'll be pushing the envelope in my presentation but the room will be packed so people are apparently buying what I'm selling. "Resolving Burning Barricades: When the Structure Catches Fire" Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams are deservedly known for not only being highly trained and specially equipped but also adaptable and resourceful during extremely dynamic situations. However, when a structure fire occurs during a critical incident, it adds a layer of complexity most SWAT teams are ill-prepared for, consequently leading to operational delays that make mission success that much more difficult to achieve. To counter such circumstances, this presentation will describe what extraordinary resources fire service personnel, apparatus, and equipment can be within tactical environments and how they can be safely and efficiently utilized to mitigate a variety of unconventional challenges.

Commissioner at Wage Inspectorate Victoria | CEO | Regulation | Public Administration | Government | Public Service Leader | Strategic Planning & Execution
Regulators often say "the cost of non-compliance can be much higher than the cost of compliance" and today we saw it in action. Woolworths received a record $1,227,000 fine in the Victorian Magistrates court today after admitting to underpaying almost $1m in long service leave to their most loyal workers. It is the largest ever penalty handed down for non-compliance with Victoria's LSL laws. Underpayments have a flow on effect. The proper payment of basic entitlements is not just money in the bank - it's food on the table, clothes for the kids, the ability to pay rent and the basis of making informed financial decisions. Wage Inspectorate Victoria have ensured Woolworths, who made $1.62b in profit last FY, have been held strongly to account. With those types of resources at their disposal, there's no good reason for such a systemic, wide-spread failure. Presser:👇🏼
"Wage Inspectorate Victoria’s investigation has made sure over $1 million is back in the pockets of hard-working Victorians, which is where it should have been from the time it was owed." https://lnkd.in/gBivNB8b

Increasing Security Standards, Mitigating Risk & Reducing Shrink as the Director @ Protection Security Investigations
The recent incident at a Home Depot parking lot in South Los Angeles where a security guard fatally shot a driver alleged to be attempting to run people over is a stark reminder of the complex and dangerous situations security personnel can find themselves in. This tragedy, which unfolded around 1:15 p.m. on Slauson Avenue, raises critical questions about the use of force, the responsibilities of security guards, and the measures in place to protect both the public and security professionals themselves. In the heat of the moment, the security guard made a split-second decision to open fire on the individual behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz, an action that ultimately led to the driver’s death and left a second person injured. The subsequent detention of the security guard for questioning highlights the legal and ethical grey areas surrounding such incidents. This situation underscores the urgent need for comprehensive training and clear protocols for security personnel. It’s imperative that guards are equipped not just with the physical tools of their trade, but with the knowledge and judgment to use force appropriately and effectively. Additionally, this event brings to the forefront the importance of ongoing dialogue about the role of security guards in public spaces and how best to ensure their actions contribute to the safety and well-being of the community. It’s crucial to consider the broader implications for security practices and public safety measures. It’s a reminder of the need for balance between vigilance and restraint, and the importance of preparing security personnel for the wide range of scenarios they may encounter. The conversation about how to achieve this balance is essential as we strive to create safer public spaces for everyone. #PublicSafety #SecurityGuard #HomeDepotIncident #UseOfForce #CommunitySafety

Vice President @ Regal Security | MBA Mini, Sales Chairman of the Board - Security Guard Association of Ontario (SGAO)
Security Guard alledgedly injured at New Sudbury Mall on August 2nd, 2024 We have come to understand that yet another piiece of cannonfodder was injured during their duties at the New Sudbury Mall, as the story goes, the security guard suffered a broken bone in the leg during an interaction with a client of the New Sudbury Mall. The association was notified of this event through a member, there is no coverage of this injury within the media, which to me suggests an apathy towards security guards and that they sign up for this type of behaviour. I wish the guard a speedy recovery and I hope that this event doesnt effect the guards family,, I would suggest that the Ministry of Labour get out to investigate this event and provide real recommendations as it relates to mitigation strategies. Security Guards do not go to work to be assaulted. #michaelkerzner #dougford #newsudburymall #ministryoflabour #security #securityguard #protectionindustry #media #securityindustry #assault #arrest #injuredatwork #enoughisenough #securityguardindustry #sgao #union #capu #steelworkers #ufcw #teamsters #cannonfodder #legislation #provinceofontario #governmentofontario

We have learned a lot in law enforcement from the multitude of active shooter events around the U.S. Primarily, law enforcement needs accurate, concise information FAST so we can enter a critical incident as well-informed as possible (time and circumstances permitting). Whether it's a SWAT operation, investigative search warrant, or active shooter event — Pryme Infil is the first operations and training management system for law enforcement that generates industry-standard, expert and attorney-reviewed op plan templates using the SMEAC format. Developed by the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, SMEAC is now fundamental in law enforcement operations — answering the who, what, when, where, and why to ensure every team member is well-informed. With Pryme Infil, users can build SMEAC-formatted op plans for SWAT operations, emergency callouts, controlled buys, wall stops, multi-location takedowns, dignitary protection, special events, active shooter responses, and more — deploying these plans to everyone involved with the push of a button. From SWAT to Investigations to Patrol, all personnel can immediately access critical information, including the locations of command posts, casualty collection points, ambulance exchanges, rally points, and more. Don’t wait until the next incident to equip your agency with a critical coordination and planning tool. #ForThePrepared #LawEnforcement #EmergencyResponse #Innovation #Technology
