The meeting of the veteran Intelligence Bureau (IB) and KGB spies during the BRICS NSA summit was interesting to analyse for THE GEOSTRATA. While on the outside it may seem like any other meeting, it was more layered. The information on what was spoken during the closed-door meeting is unavailable to the public, but I analysed it to be a way to implement Backchannel Diplomacy and to drive Multi- and Bilateral Engagement with context to the Russia-Ukraine War. The analysis was created after dissecting the available information on the situation, India's activities with Russia and Ukraine and the previous and current relationships between the two countries.
India takes a nuanced stance on the Russo-Ukraine war, walking the diplomatic tightrope between neutrality and active engagement. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval's closed-door meeting with President Vladimir Putin at the BRICS NSA summit underscores India's emerging role as a key mediator. On the Middle East Russia has consistently opposed any manifestations of terrorism in the Middle East, Putin stressed. According to him, the region is "on the brink of full-scale war." He argued that the Middle East conflict can only be resolved by rectifying historical injustices and establishing an independent Palestine. "Addressing the historical injustice towards the Palestinian people could guarantee peace in the Middle East," he maintained. On the Eurasian security system Russia proposes the establishment of a system of equitable and indivisible security in Eurasia, Putin said. "The idea is that by joining efforts, we can reliably guarantee genuine stability and create conditions for the peaceful development of all states and peoples on the continent," he stated. On UN reform The structure of the United Nations must be adapted to "the realities of the 21st century," and countries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America should have a stronger representation on the global body’s Security Council. Iran and Israel mimicking War "plus" Shooting Iran has fired 200 ballistic missiles, the question is where are heading towards? We are once again reminded of George Orwell's book war minus shooting and importantly his perspective on "The Sporting Spirit". Today's events bring this analogy to life. Nations, like players in an arena, are caught in a cycle of aggression and counter-aggression, where each action provokes a reaction, and every missile launched brings us closer to the brink of destruction. But unlike a sporting match, the stakes here are human lives, communities, and futures. What if we reframed this rivalry? Instead of using military strength as a tool for dominance, we could channel our energies toward constructive diplomacy, innovation, and collaboration. But as the situation stands, peace feels like a distant goal, overshadowed by retaliations and warnings. The question remains: Can we avoid a wider conflict, or will we continue down this path of destruction? We must recall, that we are humans and find the synonyms like humanity, humility, humanly, humanize, humane and their meanings to know the fact that true victory lies not in overpowering others but in finding common ground for lasting peace. For now I doubt the future peace, are we heading towards further chaos, or is there still a chance for diplomacy? #MiddleEastConflict #IranIsraelTensions #GlobalConflict #PeaceAndDiplomacy #WarAndPolitics #InternationalRelations #Geopolitics #ConflictResolution #MiddleEastPeace #WorldPeace #DiplomacyMatters #HumanImpactOfWar #GeorgeOrwell #WarMinusShooting #CurrentEvents #GlobalTensions #PeaceOverWar #PreventingWar #USForeignPolicy #IsraelPalestineConflict #FutureOfPeace

U.S. State Department Spokesperson, Matthew Miller says, "India has a longstanding relationship with Russia, that is well known. Speaking for the United States, we have encouraged India to use that longstanding relationship with Russia and the unique position they have to urge President Putin to end his illegal war and to find a just peace, lasting peace to this conflict, to tell Vladimir Putin to respect the UN Charter and Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The government of India is an important partner of ours when it comes to the relationship with Russia." Is war the answer? As Israel and Iran teeter on the edge of conflict, the stakes couldn't be higher. Jalal ud din Kakar in his latest article discusses the complex dynamics fueling this brewing storm, from Israel's military strategies to Iran's retaliatory moves. Explore how this escalating tension not only impacts regional stability but also poses significant global ramifications, including potential disruptions in oil supplies and international relations. With innocent lives hanging in the balance, it’s clear that military solutions won’t resolve the deep-rooted issues at play. With both sides locked in a security dilemma, can diplomacy break through the noise? Or are we on the edge of a full-scale war? Geopolitical analyst and journalist BEN NORTON returns for a huge livestream on the aftermath of the BRICS Summit and how Iran's huge warning to Israel might have the IDF backpedaling on retaliation following embarrassing leaks that put the most "powerful" military in the Middle East on notice. Also, we will cover on the stream the huge accomplishments of the BRICS Summit and how it challenges not only dollar dominance, but the very 'rules-based order' at the center of US empire. https://lnkd.in/ekRmBtq7

In the light of all the calls for negotiations and claims that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine could have lead to a settlement in early 2022. Russia has been lying and manipulating since the very start effectively rendering any resolution of the conflict in the western sense impossible. And this is very important to undertsand.
Analyst, Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS), Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI)
Actors interested in Ukraine should emphasize that the armed conflict in the Donbas in 2014–22 was a delegated interstate war between Russia and Ukraine, and not a Ukrainian civil war.
