Our inaugural Conference on Building Anti-racist Multiracial Community was a resounding success! Participants from across the nation convened for a powerful weekend, immersing themselves in the core ethos of CSWAC: dismantling systems of whiteness and collaboratively constructing an anti-racist, #multiracial society. Feedback from our longtime partners, who were also a conference mission-aligned organization, the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond: "We want to acknowledge the anti-racist organizing that is going on. That organizing is central to building an anti-racist, multiracial, and multicultural community." The passion and dedication of our attendees were remarkable. Together, we delved deep into pressing issues, working towards a more just and #inclusive future. This event was just the beginning! "We see systemic racism playing out in such a classic way right before our eyes. Everyday Heroes: Taking Inspiration from Leaders You don't need to be on a global stage to make a difference. The spirit of leaders like Nicholas Winton or Dr. Hawa Abdi can be embodied in our daily lives. Whether it's by actively listening to a struggling neighbor, organizing community gatherings to bridge divides, or volunteering at local shelters, we can all be heroes in our own right. Teach your children about compassion by sharing stories of these leaders. Encourage them to be the change, starting in their classrooms. By practicing empathy and understanding at home and in our communities, we can channel the strength and perseverance of these global heroes on a local scale.

Recently was “bombarded” by the algorithm on social media about public goodness….. in particular about folks all dressed to the Ts representing companies, orgs or political parties touting involvement in public good at staged speeches or high-end hosted dining events, etc. Convincing? IMHO not! The promotion of altruism or good causes shouldn’t be a projection of seemingly counterproductive glamourous imageries against the orginal organizational intent. Do not forget that you are not “the star” but the cause is. The most shining example of #PublicGood or be involved in a #CompanyOfGood is still this:
