It’s Day 18 of Turnaround ‘24 (TA24) at LSB-Pryor, and our team continues to focus on our core value of Making it Better. Turnaround is a combination of maintenance & reliability projects, as well as capital improvement projects. One key capital project is our Urea 485 project. The primary objective is to improve product yield and employ automation for greater process visibility and control. By installing larger capacity heat exchangers and automated control valves and process instrumentation, we are increasing Urea production, which in turn supports increased product for our commercial team to send to market. Automation provides operators monitoring capabilities in absorber towers and N/C ratio through the reactor and measuring production to analyze mass & material balances.
