The main goal of this initiative is to assess the feasibility and develop a design prototype for a novel, zero-emission #vessel powered by #alternativefuels, initially focusing on #methanol but designed for future adaptability to existing vessels.

A new agreement has been announced and this agreement will involve HVS (Hydrogen Vehicle Systems) delivering thirty hydrogen-electric tractor units to Explore Plant and Transport Solutions. The agreement goes on to say that the hydrogen-powered vehicles which have been supplied to the company, will be strategically deployed throughout the UK. Alongside the vehicles, to make sure this project stands the test of time and performs at its best, a service and maintenance plan will be provided, along with training around the safe use of hydrogen and refueling. The company will also receive training on which kind of infrastructure is needed. Hydrogen powered barges, coastal craft, harbor craft, etc are relatively easy wins to decarbonize our ports and logistics networks. Transitioning these vessels will create demand to support port and logistics-related hydrogen infrastructure that will reduce the “range anxiety” associated with the transition to ZE operations. #sustainablelogistics #zeroemissions #cleanenergy

Today, the first workshop as part of the HyTruck project took place, in which we presented the Catalog of technical norms and standards for HRS dedicated for heavy duty Transportation in the BSR, prepared by PSPA - We drive new mobility! in cooperation with AVL Software and Functions GmbH.   Aleksander Rajch presented the main effects of the project, including:   🔹 Full supply chain for hydrogen technologies along with comprehensive technical standards used at individual stages of hydrogen refueling technology - from production, through transport, storage, HRS equipment to the final refueling process.   🔹 The industry's expectations regarding the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies in the heavy road transport sector.   🔹 Main legal aspects regulating the development of HRS in Europe, with emphasis on the AFIR regulation, which is the main document regulating the development of infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles.   The analysis of the above elements was intended to prepare recommendations for the development of hydrogen refueling stations in Europe and to support public administration representatives and all stakeholders in faster implementation of hydrogen mobility on European roads.   We would like to thank all partners of the HyTruck project implemented under the Interreg program and in particular the AVL Software and Functions GmbH team for their substantive support in developing the presented catalog.
