Tired of dull conferences, where you are just spoken at for 7 hours? So are we! So we’ve designed the #asb10 conference to be VERY different… Here’s just a flavour of what to expect, led by our partners Janine Green & Darren Burton with all of our associates: ⭐️ Struggle with ASB injunctions as experience have found them to be expensive and time-consuming? Our legal session will offer practical tips for overcoming some of these challenges, making sure you get the benefit from this powerful tool ⭐️ Jo Grimshaw and her team have truly been at the forefront of using the Closure Powers - after a decade, what does she wish she knew back in 2014? ⭐️ Public spaces issues? Heard about the PSPO being used, whilst others opt for a persons unknown injunction? Join us for our live debate, discussing the pros, cons and considerations. ⭐️ What makes an effective ASB case review? We’re holding an audience takeover… ⭐️ A live roundtable discussing the Community Protection Notices - hear from a range of voices, with differing thoughts and experiences. We’ll also be using the opportunity to reflect on the results of the General Election and what this means for the future of ASB. We’ve worked really hard to shape a programme which is relevant for all practitioners, whether from Housing, Local Authority or Policing. Get your ticket at the super early bird rate and you can gain access to all this and more for just £129 (details in the comments). We can’t wait to see you there…

Exciting news for social workers and those who serve the unhoused or at risk population: the 2024 CoC funding round is now open! Please share with your agencies who work to house at risk and unsheltered individuals and families. Creative, new proposals encouraged! This year there is an incredible amount of funding and opportunity to expand care on Long Island, from east Suffolk County to west Nassau County. Housing has been made a major priority of this federal and New York State administration, and although there is still much to be desired, Long Island’s front lines service agencies should not leave anything on the table. Long Island can shelter the unhoused, and this funding can help. I have included the information for new applications below. Please share, and reach out for more information. ✨ “CoC New Applicants: Projected Funding Available (HUD ARD funding report pending to verify funding rates) Estimated ARD: $14,850,568 Estimated FPRN: $18,000,000 Estimated CoC Bonus: 12% of FPRN or about $2,160,000 Estimated Reallocation: TBD based on voluntary givebacks Local priority for CoC Bonus funds and/or relocation is PSH, as well as projects that propose to serve subpopulations locally identified with significant unmet needs. Persons with Disabilities (PSH) Re-entry Mental health Aging Adults Youth Domestic Violence (DV Bonus) Families with Children PSH, RRH, and TH-RRH projects are eligible for CoC Bonus. PSH that leverages housing and/or healthcare and/or expansion projects are encouraged. Estimated Domestic Violence Bonus: 15% of PPRN or about $2,700,000 RRH and TH-RRH projects that are specifically to serve households that are actively fleeing domestic violence are eligible for DV Bonus.
