Nihon Denji Sokki has developed advanced magnetic field simulation tools that can make a full 3D analysis of the flux lines generated within a Halbach array (#HBA) rotors during magnetization. This allows us to offer custom-built magnetizer yokes for these difficult use cases. For the same volume of permanent magnets (#PM), HBA offers stronger magnetic fields than those within motors using rotors with less sophisticated array configurations. A Halbach array describes a set of #permanentmagnets that are arranged such that their magnetic poles have been rotated by a predetermined angle where each of the pole directions forms a square. When used in the rotor of a motor, these arrays can generate a focused magnetic field that appears on one side of the array only. These angled pole directions had made post-assembly magnetization of the rotor difficult; however, our new 3D analysis tools now allow us to design magnetize of various Halbach array designs, which will significantly reduce your production costs. #emobility #electricdrives #electricvehicle #magnetizer #magnetism #permanentmagnet #magnetization #japanbusiness
