Love it or Hate it? A version of the 'Choco Taco' from Salt & Straw is coming to Taco Bell this summer. 😎 🌮 My husband legitimately asked me if it was April Fools Day already when he read this in the news. I can't decide if I hate this or love it but what I do know is that I have a HUGE amount of respect for the strategy for both companies. Salt & Straw gets unprecedented national exposure and the chance to feed artisanal ice cream to the masses. Not to mention, some serious revenue growth. (But were they able to maintain some margin per unit or is it just scale 🤔... ) Taco Bell brings in a new clientele while meeting their current clientele on common ground. They'll also bring fresh innovation and renewed interest to their historically lack luster dessert menu offerings with a seriously enticing treat. What do you think? Love it or hate it?
