Social Care - for profit or for surplus? One doesn't have to look back very far to find Local Authority run Care facilities were extraordinarily expensive, wasteful and not that good either. On the other hand, there are some brand new luxury facilities built to cater for the self pay market that are expensive. However, competition is tough at every level. The private Provider is predominantly rated Good and delivers high value for money. There is little money in the sector and the vast majority deliver both high quality and value for money in an extraordinarily heavily regulated sector. A foresnic study of Providers accounts will provide evidence of this. As a society we need to put people first and commit to take proper care of our elderly, frail and disabled. Care is routinely rationed by funding restrictions and in turn the NHS is placed under even more pressure. Demand for its services too, are growing exponentially. Both sectors needs a proper strategy, proper funding and and end to the neglect of people who are acutely ill, or those who are elderly, frail or disabled. We could take heed of the significantly better experience for people in Scandinavia rather than focus on one extreme ideology or another.

Facts! Having a child is the most precious gift and the biggest responsibility or job any person has. There is no dollar amount that can be placed on this. Trauma causes so many losses for an individual. It is not only suffered at that moment but again and again through events that bring it back to the surface. Parents trust advocates, doctors. past experiences growing up both good and bad. We must do better. The courts are broken. Electric shock therapy was still happening when found it should not be. We are only as good as the least knowledgeable. With all that is available to us today there is no excuse other than people in the right places just don't care enough to do what is right. Motives and agendas matter. Lives are at risk! Urgency to create change needs to happen. Stop settling for mediocrity when the evidence is clear. It takes a hero to step up and state the truth in a world full of judgement, shame, and wealth to back a dark room to keep it secret. I hope others step up to speak out and awareness broadens to every dark corner so change can happen.
