🐶🐱Have you ever wondered what influences pet parents? We are always working on the next big thing in pet care which is why we launched the largest Global Pet Parent study of its kind. We surveyed 50,000 people including 20,000 pet parents in 20 markets to dive deep into the behaviors, trends, needs and influences sharing the future of pet parenthood. 💙 We’re entering a new era of pet parenthood: More than half (56%) of people are pet parents with 47% of these as first-time owners. 💙 Gen Z REALLY loves their pets: More than one-third of dog and cat owners considering their pets the most important thing in their lives. The percentage is even higher amongst Gen Z at 45%. 💙 Pets make our lives better: Dog owner particularly appreciate their unconditional love and cat owners enjoy their entertainment and stress release their four-legged friends bring. Mars Chief Executive Officer Poul Weihrauch recently visited our sites in Mexico and gave an interview to ExpansionMx sharing his thoughts on what makes Mars unique – including the company's approach to responsible growth, how we balance a portfolio of global and local jewels, the role of innovation and much more. Poul said that “what sets our company apart is not just what we do, but also how we do it. I would love to double the business [during my tenure], but what is more important is how we do it. We want to grow responsibly and generate long-term value.
