🪸 The world’s coral reefs are at breaking point. Without action, these essential ecosystems may be lost forever. But there is hope. Did you know that coral reefs could recover faster than we ever thought possible? Thanks to our Sheba Hope Grows™ Program and the Mars Assisted Reef Restoration System (MARRS), some reefs have seen coral cover increase from 2% to 70% in just a few short years. We were thrilled to be joined again by Paralympian and ocean enthusiast, Ellie Simmonds, who visited our Great Barrier Reef site, where she learned all about the key to the programs success, the Reef Star - a hexagonal steel structure that stabilizes coral rubble and encourages rapid coral growth.
