Managing a team can be challenging, especially when cleaning up years of mismanagement and a toxic culture. It's not uncommon for even the most confident leaders to question themselves, which I have recently been guilty of. A recent post by a LinkedIn user highlights this struggle. I admit to feeling a lack of confidence due to numerous false complaints and a constant struggle to improve culture, but the support of our Corporate office has been amazing. Managing a team is not an easy feat, and it's important to acknowledge the challenges that come with it. But with the right mindset and a supportive team, one can come out stronger and more equipped to handle future obstacles.

I once heard it said, “Don't be afraid of being #different, be afraid of being the same as everyone else.” All #progress comes because someone had the resolution to be different do different see different try different Eli Whitney was laughed at when he showed his cotton gin. Edison had to install his electric light free of charge in an office building before anyone would even look at it. The first sewing machine was smashed to pieces by a Boston mob. People scoffed at the idea of railroads. They thought that even traveling thirty miles an hour would stop the circulation of the blood! Morse had to plead before ten Congresses before they would even look at his telegraph. All of these inventions changed the world. Look at “DIFFERENT” as good. Success comes to those who have the #courage to STAND OUT, try something new, give it a shot, take a different path. As Dr. Seuss said, “Why fit in, when you were born to stand out.” #Success #Life #Career #Leadership #Motivation #Innovation #Strategy #Business #Industry #New #SeekingExcellence #Doubt

Taking its status as a legal “person” to the logical conclusion, the film puts the corporation on the psychiatrist’s couch to ask, “What kind of person is it?” The diagnosis? Psychopath. One hundred and fifty years ago, the corporation was a relatively insignificant entity. Today, it is a vivid, dramatic and pervasive presence in all our lives. Like the Church, the Monarchy and the Communist Party in other times and places, the corporation is today’s dominant institution. In this complex, exhaustive and highly entertaining documentary, Mark Achbar, co-director of the influential and inventive Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media, teams up with co-director Jennifer Abbott and writer Joel Bakan to examine the far-reaching repercussions of the corporation’s increasing preeminence. Based on Bakan’s book The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power, the film is a timely, critical inquiry that invites CEOs, whistle-blowers, brokers, gurus, spies, players, pawns and pundits on a graphic and engaging quest to reveal the corporation’s inner workings, curious history, controversial impacts and possible futures. The Corporation charts the spectacular rise of an institution aimed at achieving specific economic goals as it also recounts victories against this apparently invincible force. Case studies, anecdotes and true confessions reveal behind-the-scenes tensions and influences in several corporate and anti-corporate dramas. Among the 40 interview subjects – including Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Milton Friedman, Howard Zinn, Vandana Shiva and Michael Moore – are CEOs and top-level executives from a range of industries: oil, pharmaceutical, computer, tire, manufacturing, public relations, branding, advertising and undercover marketing. In addition, a Nobel-prize winning economist, the first management guru, a corporate spy, and a range of academics, critics, historians and thinkers are also interviewed. https://lnkd.in/eXmDkzhj
