The StretchDollar team had two birthdays this week (hbd Kaiza Molina and Lauren O’Leary!!!) and we're coming up on our own as a company. Here's a few lessons I've learned from the fastest year of my life - my first as a founder: 1. "Repetition has never spoiled a prayer." Being a broken record is a good thing when it comes to the mission and vision of what you're building. 2. It's your job to find the joy in the process of building. It'll be infectious. 3. Strategy is way less important than execution. 4. People want you to win. They'll help you. Pay it forward when you can. 5. Your first customers will teach you more in a day than you'll learn in a month on your own. 6. Learn to be present. 50% of your attention is worth 0% of your time. 7. The right team pointed at the right problem is most of the job. 8. Some moments require flexibility, others rigidity. Practice being able to spot which is which. 9. Establish your company as a c-corp based in Delaware.

📈 Unlocking growth & driving revenue for companies ready to take the next step | Marketing Strategist, Fractional Executive, Speaker & Bestselling Author |🪂 "... parachuting into any situation to swiftly take command.”
I made a last minute decision to drive back to Cincinnati to surprise my mom for her 80th birthday. 🥳 As a business owner, I don’t take time away from work lightly. I didn’t think I could do it. Then - I remembered an important lesson that I often share but clearly needed to live myself. Taking a wider perspective gives you better focus. Whether it’s an exam you’re studying for, a business you are starting, a <insert situation here> …. taking a step back gives you a broad look at all the things that are important to you, and balances out the stress you are putting on that. one. thing. ➡️ You might find you have other areas that are more important than you realized. ➡️ Sometimes taking a few steps back to get that wider view allows you to see ‘the thing’ you think is a priority IS in fact the center of importance but there are other aspects that come into view that bring balance. ➡️ Other times, you might find a brand new path. There are a plethora of options. I’m glad I took the weekend to take the broader perspective. As I head back to Virginia, I have a much better view.

No different than motherhood... ...business is all about the small wins. 👶💼 It’s those little victories that keep you going. Whether it's getting through a busy day with the kids or reaching a milestone at work, each small win adds up. In Motherhood: → Getting everyone out the door on time. → A peaceful meal where everyone’s happy. → Five minutes to yourself when the kids are napping. In Business: → Closing a new deal. → Launching a new feature for Shoorah. → Getting positive feedback from a happy user. Small wins are what build momentum, both in life and at work. What small win are you celebrating today? ❤️🫶

I always love the first Vistage Worldwide, Inc. meeting of the year. We catch up, and talk about our businesses. But most importantly we vote on who was the most accountable for the year, who made the best and worst decision of the year. I have won both the best and worst decisions of the year in the past. Both are an honor because every bad decision leads to a good one.

Celebrating the wins! Do you take time to raise a glass when something has gone really well? 🥂 Offer accepted? 💥 Picked up the keys to your next project? 🗝️ Finished a refurb and the property is now rented? 🏠 New member of staff? 🤝 We are dreadful at taking the time to celebrate anything! 🙈 But we shouldn’t be! Im currently reading a book by Joe Dispenza and in this he stresses the importance of celebrating the small things. He says, ‘celebrating reinforces a positive mindset and helps create a positive loop in your mind, reinforcing the belief that you are capable of succeeding and reaching your goals’ ‘Celebrating wins, provides a boost of motivation and confidence plus affirming your self-worth and acknowledging your efforts’ So what can you celebrate this week? What went well? What are you proud of? Take a minute to stop and acknowledge your efforts and pat yourself on the back!! 🤗 Picture today was from the summer, this is Ted having no problems celebrating & feeling incredibly proud of himself after winning the waggiest tail competition at the local dog show. 😂 Oh and Pete who was obviously quite happy to celebrate Teds success that day. 🤣🐶 #partnershipinproperty #workwithus #kentproperties #btl #propertyinvesting

One of the greatest challenges you’re facing right now is figuring out how do you stick with your dream and big vision when you don’t HAVE TO. It’s not like if this doesn’t work something else in your life will collapse and fall apart. There’s literally nothing except your own drive and ambition holding you here. You’re great at creating ideas and seeing the end. Starting for you is a cinch. Finishing would be too....if it wasn’t for that middle. UGGGHHHH The middle is where you start questioning...do I want this for real?? You didn't anticipate the difficulty because, quite frankly, over the years you’ve gotten used to enjoying the collective success you and your Beloved have created together. You’ve gotten used to him handling the sticky details you didn't care for, and he took the pressure off in many ways. The journey hasn’t been a cake walk for sure, but you had each other, he always had your back and so you didn't have to push so hard. He still has your back, and of course you still have each other. But....now that this is “your thing”...staying in the game and playing at that same high level when there’s no good reason to, has you questioning if it’s worth it or not. And there it is. The “no good reason”. That’s the thing you keep trying to justify to yourself...having a “good reason”. This isn’t a question of worthiness...you already get that. It’s a question of why put yourself through such a task when you don’t NEED to?? But don’t you see....YOU ARE THE GOOD REASON. That seed of an idea that came to you years ago...if it didn't truly matter it wouldn’t be here still. And even if it wasn't a “years ago” idea, the fact that it came to YOU and it lights you up is reason enough. You don’t need to justify it. In the ultra exclusive Coterié I’m intentionally curating for Executive Wives, this is one of the ideas we will bring out into the light. Staying in the game, staying focused, staying motivated when you don’t need it for money or clout. This kind of drive is what sets you apart and why you need the space to unfurl in pristine discretion. We don’t do public posts for the world. We value integrity in our members, autonomy, and trust. We are redefining Wifely Leadership and creating the fertile ground for even more growth and expansion. Would you like to know more and discover if you qualify? DM me for a brief conversation.

As Romp n' Roll approaches its 20th anniversary, I’ve been reflecting on our journey and how much having a clear purpose has shaped where we are today. When we first opened our doors, the goal was simple: to create a place where kids could play, learn, and socialize, while giving parents a supportive, welcoming community. That purpose has stayed front and center through all the milestones—whether we were expanding to new locations, fine-tuning our curriculum, or finding new ways to support our franchisees. What I’ve learned over the years is that when you have a clear purpose guiding your decisions, it becomes easier to make choices that align with your mission and values. It's helped us create a consistent experience for families and foster a culture that our team and franchisees can rally around. That alignment is key in building trust, loyalty, and lasting success. As we celebrate two decades of Romp n' Roll, I’m more convinced than ever that purpose is what drives long-term success. It’s what keeps us innovating, adapting, and finding new ways to serve our community. What role has purpose played in your business journey?

We're closing out a sunny Summer Friday here at Relias after Debby Downer crashed through the state yesterday. At Relias, we celebrate Summer Fridays with half day Fridays for 7 weeks to allow our teams some much-deserved time to recharge and enjoy the summer as they choose. I spent mine today nerding out on research and annoying my colleagues with newly found data. Speaking of celebration, please join me in honoring a new round of Customer Obsession winners who go the extra mile to do what's right for our customers and our teams: Sarah Shotton, Stephanie Roberson, Patty S., and Dillon Rudio (MBA). We also closed the quarter with a new round of Quarterly Value Award Winners for those team members who embody our Relias values. Join me in celebrating: Daniel "Buddy" Martinez III (Data-Driven Decision-Making), Nat Marin Acevedo (Passion for the Mission), Annie Neese (Get Stuff Done), Melissa Dreisewerd (Thirst for Learning), and Christopher Reiling (Healthy Debate). I also had the joy of spending time with our department managers, as we do each month, on a unique leadership competency. Trust me, spending time together each month to grow our leadership skills is time well spent. We focused this month on Active Listening, because being fully present in the conversation with your teams isn't easy...the world is full of distractions. Closing this post how we closed our session this week with a reminder on what not to do 😉 Happy Summer Friday everyone! #customerobsession #customerexperience #lifeatrelias

Being a great lawyer is hard. I make it easier after cracking the code in my former law practice. A lawyer coach, NOT a life coach.
It’s time for our wins of the week! When we think about it, there’s probably at least one thing we did this week that was really hard and that we could take credit for, right? Like this little lizard, we took steps and got stuff done. Maybe our efforts were imperfect and we’re now focused on how long it took, any minor errors we made along the way, or what others are thinking about us. How about we focus for a while on the good and choose something that went really well or we’re grateful for? Also, what’s one thing you want to make sure you do this week? It can feel good to live in the land of effort, accomplishment, and celebration - agree? As for me, my win was networking - met some awesome people. I got the Wordle in 2 and I’m grateful to have a warm home during a frigid week. Don’t you love the way this little lizard limbers up, stretching farther and farther with each reach until his little right leg finally makes it up to the step? Onward to the left leg! And that’s the march of success for us all, just one foot in front of the other. I’m Dena and I help lawyers develop business, make partner or find a better job and find time for doing things they love. #lawyercoach #legalcareercoach #legalprofession #personaldevelopment #success
