Inspiring industry growth and impact! It's no wonder that solar sellers and installers are now increasing their impact by offering new, energy saving and innovative add-ons like Phase Change Materials, EnergyStar Appliances, and NuNRG.energy electric heaters that deliver the same amount of heat as other electric furnaces but use 41% less electricity. (3rd party tested and verified by UL) Customers optimize energy, align sustainability goals with electrification, and stay more comfortable. By adding these efficient add-ons to your product lineup, you can provide a more competitive and comprehensive solution to your customers and create an additional income streams all while continuing to break the solar records. hashtag #solar hashtag #domore hashtag #electrification hashtag #decarbonize hashtag #netzero hashtag #pcm

#InTheNews - Op-ed ✍️ "The goal of creating 500 GW of #fossilfuel free capacity by 2030 appears within reach. This needs large scale storage to absorb excess #solarpower generation in the day and to supply it at night. State regulators must get #Discoms to make demand projection for peaks, and procure and price power accordingly", writes Mr Ajay Shankar, Distinguished Fellow, TERI in his op-ed for businessline. 📰 Read here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gmj7y2ra #Discoms #Solar #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #SolarPower #SolarRooftop #EnergyTransition

Guess which community has been thriving with a constant electricity supply from a 100kW mini-grid, transforming the lives of over 1,500 people?😊 Here's a hint: it's been powering progress for over 3 years! How do you think access to reliable electricity can reshape communities like this one?🤔 #minigrids #ruralelectrification #SDG7 #energyaccess #solar #cleanenergy #renewableenergy #havenhillsynergy

An excellent visual representation why #wind energy without a massive build out of new transmission lines across North America, the EU #TTF cannot be ignored. Currently with what’s in place and with #ercot a zone unto itself - daily volatility due to these huge generation load swings, results in higher volatility and high prices which are directly passed through to the consumer via @intermittentenergy in X #pjm #caiso #midc #miso #nepool #windenergy #energiewind https://lnkd.in/ejwRuwHZ

🔍 This Week's Theme Analysis Continuing from the previous analysis on the benefits of using electricity for major users, this week we delve deeper into the impact of different electricity pricing schemes and power load characteristics on benefits, including: differences in green energy offsetting electricity fees, opportunities for time-based pricing arbitrage, and the control challenges posed by different power load characteristics. 📈 Latest Market Dynamics "Frequency Regulation Service": The average settlement price remains at 0 NTD/MWh, holding steady throughout the week. The cumulative participating capacity has increased to 696.3 MW, with a 15.7 MW increase compared to last week. "Spinning Reserve": The average settlement price has decreased from 220.68 NTD/MWh to 218.55 NTD/MWh, a decrease of 0.96%, continuing its slow decline to set a new historical low. The cumulative participating capacity has increased to 127.1 MW, up 1.3 MW from last week. "Supplementary Reserve": The average settlement price has dropped significantly from 227.29 NTD/MWh to 216.57 NTD/MWh, a substantial decrease of 4.72%, extending the decline from the previous week. Besides setting a new historical low, it has also fallen below the average price of instant reserves. The cumulative participating capacity remains at 262.9 MW. #EnergyMarket #RenewableEnergy #PowerGrid #PowerMarketTrends

And people thought solar panels were ugly… At least the industry now offers more aesthetically pleasing solar panels with black-on-black designs and transparent backsheets. I feel for the early adopters who have those silver grid-checkered modules on their roofs. They should be incentivized to upgrade their systems to newer, more efficient models. Currently, there are no specific government incentives for swapping out old solar modules for new ones, but such programs could help address the issue of obsolete solar module disposal, which isn’t the easiest or cleanest process. A government program to assist early adopters would benefit everyone, from consumers to installers, manufacturers, and recycling companies. Alternatively, sending obsolete panels to less developed countries could be a viable option.

If I was a battery storage owner in the path of the eclipse, I would be sure my SoC (state of charge) is optimized and accurate in the days leading up to this event. I would be ready to capitalize on any power shortages and spiked energy prices the grid might experience during the blackout. Adding to the power strain on the grid, an estimated 1M+ people will visit Texas cities along the route.
A total solar eclipse will pass over the ERCOT region on Monday, April 8, 2024, between approximately 12:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. CDT. ERCOT has been proactively working on forecasting models to reflect reduced solar power production (similar to a sunset and sunrise in the middle of the day) and does not expect any grid reliability concerns during the eclipse. ERCOT will continue to monitor conditions and keep the public informed through our communications channels.
